A colleague and I stayed at Monmouth for a business trip last week. During our stay, a rare winter storm fairly well shut down much of the South. Restaurants and businesses in Natchez were closed, and travelers were stranded. The staff at Monmouth made a difficult situation feel like serendipity--we didn't have to leave the property at all for gourmet...

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Monmouth last week. Upon arrival, Hal helped us with our bags, provided ice and great commentary on the property and where everything was located. Our room, in the main house over the study and lounge was absolutely gorgeous. The big 4 poster canopy bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a drink prepared...

My husband and I celebrated our tenth anniversary here last weekend. We stayed in the main house. The ground were beautiful in the dead of winter! I can only imagine how beautiful they are in the spring. Our bed was comfortable but I was a little disappointed in the rest of the room. I guess you can't expect too many...

We stayed for 2 nights in January as a family of four. The Monmouth Inn is a beautiful antebellum house with I believe 5 bedrooms in the main building and other rooms scattered around the extensive gardens. On arrival we were given two adjacent rooms in the main building, on the balcony overlooking the rear courtyard. It was unseasonably cold...

For the price that was paid - the rooms were drafty and the breakfast wasn't the best. The grounds are beautiful and dinner was good. Only 2 packages were available despite all the ones listed on the website. We took the Anniversary Package and was unable to take the carriage ride because they don't run much in the winter, the...

Dear Kim H, I just read your review and I would like to say I am very sorry that circumstances have ruined your stay at Monmouth. I have not heard anything about your problems from our staff and that also makes me very unhappy. I always want to here any feedback from our guests whether it is good or bad....

My wife and I have gone here multiple times and have loved it each time. Great romantic getaway for an anniversary or just to get away. Very beautiful restored plantation home. Great time!

I stumbled upon Monmouth while doing a search of Natchez as a potential honeymoon location. I was immediately drawn in by the beautiful scenery, but was blown away by the hospitality when I phoned to ask lots of questions about the rooms available and what would be included in our romantic getaway. The lady that answered the phone took so...

We stayed here several years ago in the springtime for a couples' weekend & since it was such a wonderful trip, I thought I would post about it! The Manmouth Plantation was gorgeous & well taken care of. The gardens & pond were so beautiful & romantic. The food was delicious but I absolutely loved the fresh mint juleps! We...

We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at Monmouth. I imagined myself sitting in one of those lovely rocking chairs as seen on the website. Unfortunately it was unseasonably cold and absolutely pouring with rain which meant that our visit to Natchez was a bit of a disappointment. The Inn however fulfilled all our other expectations. The staff was...

Having been to multiple bed and breakfast sites in the south we were quite impressed with Monmouth Plantation as our Romantic 40th Anniversary Getaway. As you drove up and walked on the grounds you were welcomed to a lovely journey back in time. The friendly and welcoming staff exhibited a passion and love for Monmouth!!! It is quite evident that...
