We stayed at the Rosedale Manor for two days. Our main reason for going to Placentia was as a place to stop before heading out to Cape St. Marys the next day. I had heard very little about Placentia so I was very surprised to find such a beautiful spot. It reminded me so much of British Columbia. The Rosedale is a very nice Bed and Breakfast, we could not have been happier with our choice. The location was excellent. We enjoyed nice walks up to the Fort and two nice hikes right near the bed in breakfast (one right in front). Linda was a wonderful host, she gave us some excellent advice about places to eat and other sites to visit when we went to Cape St. Marys. She told us about a performer at the local pub that night. We followed all her advice and were glad we did. We both really liked Linda, she talked a bit about growing up in British Columbia and she was not afraid to disagree with me a bit about the pipeline. I liked that she was clearly passionate about the environment. The breakfast was excellent both days. It is obviously a very nice cafe and seemed to be popular with locals. We ate both nights at the Three Sisters and thought the food was very good. The rooms were spacious and clean. We were really glad we visited Placentia and that we stayed at the Rosedale Manor.

What a beautiful little Inn. Linda is such a sweetheart and offers amazing hospitality. The room was charming and the breakfast they offer over at Philip's Bakery was SO GOOD! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The owner, Linda was very welcoming. A central location for walking around Placentia. A traditional Newfoundland breakfast was provided at Phillips Cafe and Bakery , minutes away from the B and B.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Rosedale.

This Inn is in a perfect location for walking around Placentia. The hostess of the Inn was very friendly and made us feel very much at home. The room was very comfortable and clean and there are open rooms downstairs to sit and enjoy as well. An added bonus was the delicious plate of home made cookies for the guests.

It's obvious the inn is a work of love by its owner - comfy, welcoming, lovely. The owner also clearly delights in sharing the best of Placentia with her guests. About 20 minutes after we arrived, she came running into the living room shouting, "Hoo, hoo -- the capelins are running!" The annual capelin roll (the fish roll up onto the beach and into the shallows en masse) had just started. She pulled out a map to show us where the roll was happening, and we all jumped in our cars and headed out. It was a sight to see!
Thank Nancy H
