We had a change of plans and found ourselves in need of a place to stay at 3:30 a.m. We called the Royal, gave them a heads up that we were on our way and showed up at the door shortly thereafter. The fellow at Reception was very kind even at that ungodly hour and check-in was fast and efficient. Our room was very cold. The window had been left open to air out the room but at 6C that was a little too refreshing. We closed the window and tried turning the heat on in the room but when the electric baseboard didn't seem to be responding after 15 minutes we called Reception. Again, despite the hour the guy at Reception was very kind and within minutes had delivered a small space heater. It did the trick and within short order we were tucked up in the clean, comfortable beds and completely cozy. The only odd thing was that we couldn't figure out how to turn off the Bell box so the welcome screen was on and glowing all night. We were exhausted so it didn't keep us awake. The shower in the morning was fine with plenty of hot water. The shampoo, soap and towels supplied were standard for a 2-Star Motel and good enough. We had to be on our way early in the morning so we didn't take advantage of the free breakfast and coffee offered. Nice stay! Recommended!

Arrived in Napanee on Saturday, August 28th around mid afternoon after being unsuccessful at securing a room for a Festival we were attending. Everything in Napanee was booked, for our chosen date. As silly as it was, we decided to take a chance by just pulling into the parking lot of the Royal Napanee Inn. The Gentleman at the Front Desk ( Sorry, we didn't get your name ) was extremely Friendly , making us feel welcome the moment we walked in the Lobby. He assured us that he did indeed have the exact vacancy we were looking for. We were able to check in early, unload our stuff in the room and were finally able to carry on with our trip the The Festival ( Cannabis Cup )...I think he was quite surprised when we returned that we were extremely quiet ( sat outside chatting till the wee morning hours ) and relaxed ( Gee, I wonder why...hahaha ) The room, which appeared to be brand new ...was huge, extremely clean, comfortable and peaceful. Location is far enough from the 401, that the noise from the Highway, was virtually non existant. To the Owner / Gentleman working at the Front Desk...Thank You 1000 times over for making our stay so pleasant and possible. I would also like to Thank You for being curious and non judgemental when you asked about the type of Festival we were attending. Told you that us old Hippies wouldn't be a bother ! Our new Go To place to stay, in Napanee !! Cheers !! :)

Ideal for divers and other sports. Park outside your room and able to work on gear is very convenient. Lots of room to accommodate trailers as well. Very convenient to 401. Midway between different accesses to Bay of Quinte. Will always consider for return visits

Stopped in here for a night while visiting the Star Gazing Area down the 41. Met by Roger, extremely nice and i checked the room. 1st it was a quick overnight stay so I wasn't looking for much. Bed was comfortable, but pillows were like pancakes. The odd thing, couldn't turn thr Bell box off so that stayed on all night. No water pressure at all in the shower and tiles were lifting & paint peeling. 109$ + taxes was a bit steep for this room, but it looked better than the oher down the street.

Expensive room with 2 double beds, stained carpet, barely enough space between the foot of the bed and the tv to walk by. Light fixture barely hanging from the ceiling above the mirror. Beds were old, pillows were flat, towels were thin. Noisy neighbours talked outside our room until way into the night. Not much selection for breakfast, and they didn't replenish what was taken by other guests. Staff was pleasant. We've stayed in much better accomodations and paid less.

Spent one night here while in the area on business. Location is good; right off the highway. Surprisingly not that noisy even with proximity to highway. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could use a better cleaning. Awkward having to use plug in bathroom to charge my cellphone - no other outlets in the room, at least not that I could access. Breakfast was included but sparse selection. Management and staff very friendly.

Spent one night at this motel and although had no grand expectations I was actually quite pleased with the accommodation. I stayed in room 5 which is a one queen size bed room. It was a smallish room, but big enough to accommodate a desk as well as a lounging chair, dresser/tv stand, fridge, etc. The motel is pet friendly and I did have my dog with me ($10 extra cost). The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was up to date and also very clean. The tv was new and modern. I appreciated having a fridge as well. Unfortunately, for some reason, the wifi did not work in room 5. I know it was not my device as I visited a friend in another room and was able to connect. Not that important that evening for me but it does need to be addressed by the management. Overall, a very nice budget friendly motel.

My wife & I live in Napanee but had to stay at a motel for 2 nights during construction on our home. Not wanting to spend too much per night we checked in at the Royal. It was clean & quiet. Very sufficient & economical for what we needed. The front desk was very helpful.

The room was clean although the carpet and a chair were old and stained. The shower was brand newly tiled so clean. Unfortunately the sink is in the room, not in the washroom. Although it is by the highway it is quiet. the breakfast room is very tiny. Only 4 seats. Yet they could easily add another 4. Not much choice: bread loaf, muffins, tea and coffee , and orange juice. that's it, which is OK if you eat continental breakfast. OK location for a night or two.
