We had a change of plans and found ourselves in need of a place to stay at 3:30 a.m. We called the Royal, gave them a heads up that we were on our way and showed up at the door shortly thereafter.
The fellow at Reception was very kind even at that ungodly hour and check-in was fast and efficient. Our room was very cold. The window had been left open to air out the room but at 6C that was a little too refreshing. We closed the window and tried turning the heat on in the room but when the electric baseboard didn't seem to be responding after 15 minutes we called Reception. Again, despite the hour the guy at Reception was very kind and within minutes had delivered a small space heater. It did the trick and within short order we were tucked up in the clean, comfortable beds and completely cozy. The only odd thing was that we couldn't figure out how to turn off the Bell box so the welcome screen was on and glowing all night. We were exhausted so it didn't keep us awake.
The shower in the morning was fine with plenty of hot water. The shampoo, soap and towels supplied were standard for a 2-Star Motel and good enough.
We had to be on our way early in the morning so we didn't take advantage of the free breakfast and coffee offered.
Nice stay! Recommended!

Ideal for divers and other sports. Park outside your room and able to work on gear is very convenient. Lots of room to accommodate trailers as well. Very convenient to 401. Midway between different accesses to Bay of Quinte. Will always consider for return visits

Due to vehicle troubles, we could not travel on so needed a hotel. Advised by Canadian Tire Service Dept to stay here until vehicle fixed next day. Was easy walking distance from town and close to restaurants. Room clean and adequate. Continental breakfast fine. Owners daughter helpful to get tv working. Internet fine. Friendly place.

The room was very nice for the price point. Clean, newly remolded. Convenient off the interstate. If your looking for beautiful surroundings this is not the place for you. For a good night sleep and basic breakfast give them a try. Very accommodating staff. I will go back.

We were looking for something affordable and talking with friends who had stayed here previously, we chose this place. It was exactly as we expected and served our purpose for spending 2 nights here. Rooms are small, but it was clean and safe environment. Plenty of toilet paper but surprisingly no kleenex box. Even had a mini fridge (without freezer) and microwave. Lots of channels on the tv. Breakfast was good, which included muffins, toast, cereal, milk, juice. Minimal, but enough to feed us to start the day. Surprisingly we were the only ones enjoying breakfast at the motel. We'ld stay here again if all we needed was a place to sleep. Again, we knew what to expect and it met our expectations and was worth the $79 a night compared to almost double that we would have had to pay at the Hampton Inn.

was expected the worst from a motel, but it was a lot better then expected. Stayed for one night and didnt have the money for a deposit so they waived the fee for us. Room was very clean and customer service was amazing. Had to end up staying another two nights and the staff is so lovely and made us feel very welcomed. I recommend this motel to anyone staying in
Napanee!

We were looking for a place to stay in order to visit Sandbanks Provincial Park the next day, and found that everything was booked solid. We had our dog with us so that made it even harder to find suitable accommodations in the area. We finally had to start looking in the Napanee area, which is about a 40 minute drive away from Sandbanks, and the Royal Napanee Inn was one of the very few that was dog-friendly (10$ surcharge). The clerk was nice and check-in was fast and easy. We had requested a non-smoking, pet-friendly room. There was a strong musty odour in our room which took some getting used to and airing out. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable enough. There was a small kitchen in our room, complete with a fridge, stove, coffeemaker and a few plates and utensils. There is also pretty fast wi-fi in the rooms and they serve a very basic continental breakfast in the morning. The motel is located just north of the 401 and is close to some fast-food restaurants and stores.
Overall, if you're limited in options in the area (especially if you have a pet), and you aren't very picky about decor and ambiance, the Royal Napanee Inn might do the trick at a reasonable price.

The room requested was to be smoke-free & pet free, 2 beds due to allergies.
The room smelled like wet dog upon entering & as we looked through there was evidence that a dog had been left in the washroom as the wood trim had been chewed and as a result the paint was scratched off when I spoke with the man at the desk he blamed guests for sneaking in their pets, however they had not fixed the trim & door so they knowingly put us in a room knowing our request. Given the cleanliness of the room I would be left to assume that it wasn't throughly cleaned or they didn't notice the damage from a dog being left in the washroom ?? There was a lot of dust/dirt on the trim, tv stand where the receiver was located. Spiders in room webs running from to ceiling light fixture in sleeping area and the washroom, in the 4 days there cleaning didn't remove webs. The vent in the washroom had excessive dust/dirt not effective in that condition to remove humidity. The room we were in needed a very good cleaning not just a wipe down a soap & water cleaning is in order. Beds sagged to the middle as well. No iron or ironing board in room, Even if a room is dated if it is clean including the flooring it would be acceptable for a night but this motel is being poorly run & not clean enough on the bright side there were not bed bugs.

Booking online was extremely easy, I love that their bookings go right into my iPhone app Bookings.com. We have stayed twice now and both times very satisfied with the value of the rooms. They have the best rates in the Kingston and Napanee region, located right off the highway, restaurants and gas stations are close by. Beds are clean and comfortable. Bring extra pillows if your anything like me I have to have minimum two, we learnt the hard way the first time. Free wi-fi in rooms with Satellite TV and hot water. No complaints here.

I did not see a laundry room, but didn't need it. As for 2 beds, I must imagine they have that. My room was 1 bed and had a fridge.
