I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Doug and Tracy’s warm, rustic B&B retreat! The location is fantastic, the property is beautiful, situated on the river, you’re able to hear the rustling of the falls in the distance. Upon arrival, we were greeted enthusiastically by Zoe, a delightful border collie. The comfortable, immaculate room was beautifully decorated in keeping with the rustic atmosphere of the residence, no detail forgotten! Doug lit a bonfire for us to enjoy the evening. Breakfast was fabulous, presented so professionally . We couldn’t ask for more. We will definitely return to Sauble Falls B&B. Susan New Hamburg On

Beautiful location, and a wonderful, rustic charm about this place. Very friendly and accommodating hosts who were willing to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable or provide suggestions and info on nearby activities, attractions and restaurants. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. It's not "The Ritz" but the breakfasts here beat the ones I've had at the Ritz - wow! Anxious to return soon.

I just arrived home from a WONDERFUL weekend at Sauble falls B&B. The food was amazing .The rooms were perfect . Doug and Tracey thought of every way to make their guests feel at home. Normally when I am away from home I have difficulty sleeping but not here. The beds were so comfortable that I slept like a rock! I can’t say enough about Doug’s cooking everything was perfect. I was so well fed at breakfast that I still wasn’t hungry by 5 pm. Thanks again I will definitely be back Alexandra

Great location and wonderful campfire in the backyard. Hosts will prepare everything for you in advance. If you stay for 2 and more nights, you would be able to use their boats. For one night, it is available to you only the day of the check-in (4:30pm) and if you hit this small window before it starts getting dark, you may be able to use them. Now, the disappointments. Well, we paid $540 (two nights) for a small dark stuffy room with a dated decor. Anytime I see dark-blue old towels and bedding, it makes me uncomfortable. The mattress and pillows were hard as bricks and we did not sleep most of the two night. We both felt exhausted and stiff. The portable a/c takes a lot of space in already tiny room and is super-noisy, so we used it for 30 min and then had to turn it off. Opening a window did not work, unfortunately. I personally did not eat much breakfast; it looked pretty bland. The coffee was not enjoyable for my taste. Doug's famous bacon was the only good thing about this breakfast; my husband like it. Last, but not least. Right from the first minute we were greeted quite aggressively for the lack of masks! Apparently the place requires mask/shields to be worn in the presence of other guests, but you may only find this out after you get their e-mail to confirm your reservation (if less than 30 days - non-refundable). Guys, Tracey and Doug, put this on your website to avoid such gross misunderstanding as the e-mail about your "COVID rules" will likely be automatically going to the junk mailbox (as in our case) and made us totally unaware about your rules and instructions. So, after spending $540 we came home physically exhausted and mentally beaten up. At least the beauty of the area had somewhat made up for it.

My husband & I stayed at Sauble Falls Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights this past weekend. The house is beautifully situated on the Sauble River with the falls within walking distance or a 1 minute drive. We got some beautiful pictures of the River & falls! Canoes & kayaks for your use. The stairs to get to your rooms are quite narrow & steep, but the rooms are a good size with a private bathroom in each individually numbered room. Sauble beach just a few minutes away by car. Best breakfast we’ve ever had at a B&B! All homemade. The frittata, fresh fruit, bacon and homemade Apple fritter donuts were delicious. My husband especially loved the fresh fruit compote. It was so nice of Doug & Tracey to invite us to bring containers for our leftovers, as this provided a great lunch and fresh fruit snack while picnicking later! Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon! Thank you Doug & Tracey!

We just returned home from a 4 day stay at this establishment. Personally, we are shocked at the good reviews this B&B receives. We found the rooms to be quite dated and uncomfortable. Due to lack of space in these tiny rooms, you cannot unpack your luggage as there isn't a dresser nor a closet. They have installed portable floor air conditioning with a large pipe that travels across the foot of the bed. This noisy machine also takes up a lot of floor space causing a very crowded room. The pillows on the bed are flat as pancakes and uncomfortable. If you are physically fit, you won't find the narrow steep stairs to your room a challenge. All of the reviews rave about the breakfasts. Perhaps they are good when they serve them hot but while we were there, they were served stone-cold. They do have a dock with complimentary water craft but the steps looked treacherous so we decided to pass. Please think twice before booking a stay at this establishment. We were very disappointed.

Just returned from 3 amazing nights. They have ruined breakfast for us. Our hosts were fantastic. We rented all 4 rooms so it was just the 8 of us. We enjoyed everything and cant wait to return after the wedding.

It took me a few days to put together what I wanted to say in this review because this was THAT incredible an experience. My partner and I came up to Sauble Falls B&B from Toronto based on a friend's recommendation. We wanted to take on a few trails in the nearby area (the Grotto and Lionhead lookout) and thought it would be a pleasent change to ditch the trendy Airbnbs and try an old school bed and breakfast. This was our first time and boy were we in for a treat!! From the moment we arrived (late thursday night) we felt at home! Doug (and Daisy, their adorable and well behaved fur baby) greeted us with the warmest welcome, gave us the rundown, and told us to just make ourselves at home and have fun! We stayed for 3 days and Doug and Tracey made them incredibly special. Breakfast was freaking amazing! As a huge foodie, I was delighted to see such variety and well made dishes. Doug is a professional chef and over the 3 days we were there, we had frittatas, fresh fruit, doughnuts, apple fritters, blueberry fritters, peach cobbler, strawberry cobbler (Doug especially made this for my partner when he found out how much he loved strawberries), french toast, pancakes, his infamous homemade smoked bacon, and I'm sure I've missed something but you get the point. The food was AMAZING! There's also the option of adding in a 3 course dinner, for a small surcharge. This beat every single restaurant experience I've probably ever had. Doig uses fresh and local ingredients, many of which are form his personal garden. Apart from the food being absolutely outstanding, It was the thoughtfulness and care that I most appreciated. Tracey out out a birthday card with such heartfelt words and even lit a candle and sang me a happy birthday during dessert. It was incredibly thoughtful and so appreciated. Food aside, let's talk about the accommodations themselves. This Bed and Breakfast has literally everything you need: boardgames, a smart TV, books everywhere, a firepit, kitchenette, BBQ, a hottub (open seasonally), ensuite bathrooms. The house is split in two: the guest section and Doug and Tracey's home, separated by a door on the main floor. You totally get the cottage feel, with all the additional perks! On the guest side, there are 4 quaint bedrooms upstairs, each with its own ensuite bathroom and lock and key. Doug and Tracey were incredible hosts and it was an absolute pleasure spending time with them and getting to know them. They gave us some solid recommendations for dinner and encouraged us to take some of our breakfast to-go, anticipating we'd get hungry on our hikes (they weren't wrong). They are the nicest people I've met in a long time, they're welcoming, helpful and just all around wonderful humans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the minute we walked in and were sad to leave. I don't see myself staying anywhere else when we return to the Bruce Peninsula. We have already made plans to return with friends and family, with hopes to book out the entire space. While we loved the space and the food, what made us fall in love with Sauble Falls B&B is the warmth and love Tracey and Doug put into everything they do and every interaction they have with you. It's an incredible experience and I would HIGHLY recommend you give it a chance!

Celebrating a birthday during Covid was a whole different ball game. The hosts Tracey & Douglas catered to just one guest, us! They were playing it safe, not sharing halls, lounge, games, fire pit with other parties. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, and on my birthday they even prepared a birthday dinner of my choice. Most restaurants were still closed, not even patios open, so a home cooked meal at our B&B was a real treat. Sanitizer was supplied, hosts wore masks when interacting with us, and Douglas prepared the fire pit for us when we mentioned we wanted to enjoy a fire that night. Our stay was a wonderful retreat, thanks to our wonderful hosts and a lovely B&B on Sauble River. We plan to return in the future.

We had an amazing 3 nights and days at Sauble Falls B and B. The hosts were amazing and the 3 course breakfasts with homemade pastries were perfection. We enjoyed using the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes that are included. The cottage backs right on to the river and you can paddle for hours. We also walked across the road to the little falls and drive 10 minutes to the beach. The rooms are comfy and the house is spotless. We bought the 50 dollar a person dinner and it was delicious. Doug is a master chef.
