When we alighted from the Transatur bus that took us in to Cienfuegos, we headed straight for the tour office to book our outgoing bus trip to Trinidad, seeing as I had not pre-arranged that before. Locating the tour office was easy as it was on a street just off the main square and Hotel la Union was also just... More

It's a pitty maintenance is so poor since thisis a nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and look nice. Big bathroom with good shower. Window in ourbathroom was rotten! Also roomdoor did not close well. Breakfast is very good as is the pool. Be aware of streetnoise almost anywhere in the hotel. Perfectly situated in the city centre. You might consider... More

We found this location to be a comfortable and clean one. The food was average but tasty, and the pool for us was a delight. On a busy tour, it was nice to sit by the pool and even be refreshed by swimming in it. Our group gathered in the bar area for relaxation and conversation. The neighborhood is safe... More

The building and location are excellent for visiting the key places in Cienfuegos. The swimming pool looked lovely, but it was too cool to enjoy. Pillows were very hard. Food in restaurant was nothing special at all meals. Rooftop bar was very nice.

Located right in the centre of town with pedestrian mall around the corner and lots of shops. The hotel rooms were huge and well appointed with lovely furniture. Bathrooms also very nice. The pool was a bit chilly. Would definitely recommend even though the service was not great. Note that check in time is 4.00 p.m. And check out midday,... More

Lovely old building just around the corner from the beautiful plaza Marti. Nice big rooms. Lovely swimming pool in the central courtyard. Unfortunately it was too windy to enjoy the rooftop bar on the two nights we stayed there. Breakfast was poor. Recommend eating at Paladar Bouyon, just off Plaza Marti. Unfortunately on our second night the fire alarm went... More

This wonderfully renovated 19th century building is centrally located in Cienguegos - adjacent to a pedestrianised street and only one block from the Plaza Marti, which is full of beautiful buildings of various styles. The hotel has two courtyards and a swimming pool, and still retains its Spanish Colonial atmosphere. Our room was furnished with period style furniture, but we... More

This hotel is in a wonderful location...has a great rooftop bar/lounge area with an amazing sunset view....and their staff goes out of their way to make sure that you enjoy your visit to their city. Both Michael at the front desk (great tips on restaurants and taxi's and sites to see) and Carlos (rooftop bar) helped us have a great... More
