We stayed here for several days. Ivan and Lisa are wonderful and so very helpful. If it wasn't for Lisa's help, we would have never retrieved our luggage. They know the area very well. They recommended a very, very good birding guide. In one morning we saw a toucan nest, several kinds of toucans, cookoo birds, a pigmey owl and...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights, during our month long excursion in Ecuador. Had we not been pressed for time, we easily could of stayed longer. Attentive hosts Ivan and Lisa, their lovely family and friendly dog, were a delight. The cabins are charming and basic, quiet and just a short walk away from town. Ivan and...

A real gem, we planned to stay for two nights and stayed six. If you are looking to de stress from Quito, this is the place. The owners Ivan and Lisa couldn't be more helpful and both speak great English. Ivan greeted us off the bus and helped organize bird watching (ask for Fernando), tubing and cascading. The cabins are...

My son and I stayed here for three nights. The owners, Ivan and Lisa (both English speakers), are the most kind and helpful hosts you could ask for. Ivan rode with us 40 minutes away to find a working bank machine, and arranged for us to do everything from canyoning on a friend's property to getting a ride to meet...

I really recommend these cabins for something basic, friendly, comfortable, and "typical" of the area. The owners are super friendly, as is Frida their dog, and their 4 little daughters. The breakfast (included) is DELICIOUS - with eggs from their own chickens, and locally made organic cheese (not to mention fresh-squeezed juice and local fruit). They only charged me $15/night...

I stayed only one night but I enjoyed La Casa del Camino Mindo and the hospitality of Ivan and Lisa. LCCM is located about 1/2 mile outside of Mindo, but being away from the central business district on a Saturday night meant a quieter location closer to the cloud forest of Mindo. The breakast I was served was excellent. A...

I just stayed at this place over the Day of the Dead holidays. The lodging is basic, which is what I expected in a place like Mindo. However, the owners, Linda and Ivan were wonderful, two of the warmest and helpful people I've met in my travels. Ivan fixed me up with an excellent bird watching guide, Santos. Santos and...

This is a basic accomodation site if you are looking for a budget place to sleep. We arrivec here mainly because we wanted to explore Mindo beyond the hotel. The sheds that double as rooms are basic with clean toilets and comfortable bedding. Breakfast is basic but nice. BUT remember this is a place where you can only sleep, so...

I've stayed in a lot of hostels throughout Europe, Mexico and Ecuador but La Casa del Camino, is without a doubt the coolest I've ever been to. The site is gorgeous, the rooms comfy, the food delicious, the atmosphere incredibly chill and Ivan is the man! I went with a large group of friends and he showed us the very...

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like friends. When I left, I knew I was coming back. This is more than a place to stay-- the owners, Ivan and Lisa, are very accommodating and can show you every cool part of Mindo that exists. And there are a lot of great things to see in Mindo. Language...

La Casa del Camino has a rustic restaurant with an open view to The Clouded Forest. We have used recycled wood to build our cabins which can accomodate up to 3 persons and have a complete bathroom with warm water. The property is a sub-tropical paradise planted with many fruit trees that make it possible to see many local bird species and butterflies up close.
