Open windows that allowed for breeze and nice open eating area by the river. The hostal is centered around the river with spacious and nature designed rooms. Excellent reflection of Mindo and the nature life in Ecuador.

A beautiful place to spend a weekend. Cozy wooden cabins (with quite small rooms though, at least the ones I have seen), next to the river, and close to everything. If you ask about tours or information, the staff is always very nice and helps out. I've already been here twice and I would definitely visit a third time as...

This a is a lovely little place for budget travellers which is like an upgraded hostel in atmosphere. Quiet with lovely staff who leave you alone unless you need something, then they are very helpful. The staff have limited English, but will work hard to understand combined with a little tourist Spanish.

Our rooms were excellent, very clean, uniquely & tastefully decorated with private bath. Lovely window views with areas for a quiet walk. Beautiful birds and vegetation. Rushing brook along side the property. Water and refreshments available. Very comfortable.

This place is awesome. The rooms made of wood have big windows that look out at the river. The sound of the river as you fall asleep is amazing. It felt like camping to hear all the noises of nature but the best part is you can enjoy it from your warm, comfortable bed. Water pressure in the shower was...

Our stay in La Casa de Cecilia, was amazing and relaxing! We go two private indoor/outdoor rooms, so it felt we was in one whit the nature. Be in bed at the nighttime listening to the river and the frogs singing and when it started to rain was a good and relaxing feeling.

The hostel is next to a small river and very close to the center of Mindo. It looks really nice. The private (bath)rooms were clean and cheap. The people at the reception weren't much there and not really welcoming, but not rude either. We didnt have mosquito nets though and the mosquitos could enter our room through little gaps in...

Couldn't have imagined a more lovely location, especially for the price. The hotel rests right by a babbling brook, and the bananas nailed to the trees nearby invite a variety of tropical birds. With quinoa burgers across the street and coffee around the corner, we didn't have to venture far for the basics. We missed out on the chocolate tour,l...

This hostel is located right at the river so it is a peaceful and pretty spot. There is seating right near it and we enjoyed sitting here and relaxing. We were disappointed, however, by the rest of the hostel. Our room was very small and cramped. It was a twin room with two large beds that left little other space...

having visited mindo multiple times, i am certain this is the best budget hostal in town (about $15 a person a night). located next to a small river, has a nice open air breakfast area where you can watch the birds and butterflies ( breakfast not included); the rooms are basic, but clean. beds are comfortable and they provide bug...
