We stayed at Cuna Luna for a few weeks. Originally we were located in the tower cottage at the back of the property since it has a kitchen and we were looking for a long term, self-catering accommodation. Unfortunately, it is beyond the control of the proprietors that the noise and street lights in the village makes that an uncomfortable...

We had a lovely 5 days in Cuna Luna in February! The hotel is built very tastefully in the local style, and has a relaxed atmosfere. Its position is unique In front of an unspoiled beach just a few minutes drive from Montanita. The couple who are running the place were friendly and helpful. Only the restaurant could do with...

Cuna Luna is in a beautiful spot right on a beautiful beach in small village near Montanita. Our hosts -- Jeanet and Ricardo -- were perhaps the best we've ever had. They were friendly, thoughtful, and generous with their time, advice, and even their personal belongings (our babies were about the same age and they loaned us their off-road stroller...

The room was clean, ON the beach, with a hammock on the patio. Jeanet and Ricardo (and baby J) were friendly and accommodating. Delicious fresh food for breakfast and lunch. It was very relaxing. I was there for 4 nights and definitely could have stayed longer. I will be back!

Nice eco-lodge practically on the beach in San Jose.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their restaurant is an amazing spot to get your breakfast in the morning while watching the Pacific ocean... we were lucky enough on that day to watch dolfins.. And if you are in the mood..you can get a surf class lesson with Katherine.... Highly...

This eco-lodge sits in a magic area on the beach of Ecuador, it is so peaceful and green. We arrived on a night without reservations, lucky for us it was during the low season. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious! Wish we'd stay longer to take advantage of the surfing lessons and try some seafood. Kudos...

Great breakfast & friendly service! Did not stay there only ate at the restaurant, but we returned several times for their "Desayuno" of juice, fruit, eggs, and the best fresh baked bread and coffee (real espresso) I've had in Ecuador. Had a fish dinner there one night as well that was quite tasty and well prepared.

When booking our stay I asked for a discount and as with most every where in Ecuador if you are staying for more than 2nights was given a fair discount. The discount did not effect the requests I had made like a ocean view but were given a room practically on the beach. Unobstructed ocean view with screen doors leading...

Ridiculously overpriced and poorly maintained. Unless you're into Mosquitos and black mold, ratty linens, and minimum amenities for top dollar don't waste your time with this one. Yes, there's a mediocre to decent beach break wave out front, but considering the beach is about 20 miles long and there are peaks along the entire length, without a doubt, you can...
