My wife and I stayed at La Selva over Christmas and it far exceeded our expectations. We had a better time and better tours here compared to Galapagos! One of the main reasons was because of our guide Julio. He and our local guide were amazing and very knowledgeable. I cannot stress enough how the quality of your guide will...

The Lodge is situated in an awesome location. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake and was very private. The food was excellent and the staff was, for the most part, attentive and friendly. Our guide, Rodrigo, was fantastic. He took extra care in making sure we all had an opportunity to get the most of our outings....

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are always happy to know our guests' experience with us. We are glad to learn that mainly your Amazon experience in our lodge was fantastic. The Amazon rainforest, along with our lodge facilities and service, is a unique magical place. Our main commitment as a company through our guests is their complete...

From the meet and greet at Quito airport this trip was well planned. Flight to Coca short with great views. Short bus ride to La Selva office for briefing then a 2 1/2 -3 hr motorized canoe ride on the Napo river with a basic but pleasant lunchbox provided. There is then a lovely 1/2 hr canoe ride down a...

We recently stayed at La Selva Lodge as part of a multigenerational family trip (11 people, ages 10-76). Getting to this lodge is partly the experience, requiring a plane, motorboat, walking, and a canoe. Mind-boggling to realize that all supplies are brought in this way. We were in the family cabins, absolutely luxurious but still at-one with the rainforest. The...

Thank you so much for your review and it was no problem at all to send your son's backpack! When it comes to our guest's we have no problem going above and beyond, in this case we understood how important it was for your son to be reacquainted with his belongings. We are very glad you and the rest of...

Great Location with the lake in front - makes La Selva private and also more appealing than being on the Napo River. The black water lake also keeps the bugs down and allows for swimming. Food was very good, guides great, housekeeping wonderful. Our room was fantastic - quiet, wonderful view, great bed and nice porch for reading, etc. The...

Dear Sheldon, Thank you so much for your review and feedback. You made some very good points, we also suggest to our guests that if they are interested in visiting the Galapagos they do this after a visit anywhere in the Amazon. This is mainly because the Amazon is home to many shy creatures, big and small and the Amazon...

The Lodge is in the most beautiful location and we were so well looked after. Our guide, Paul, was excellent. He has a real passion for the work he does and is extremely knowledgeable. It is a very special place and we have so many memories of the amazing animals Paul showed us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

I love the feeling of going somewhere very isolated and serene. We had to fly to Coca, take a two hour boat ride on the Napo River and paddle a canoe for an hour to get to this magnificent lodge. The ride from Coca to the lodge is 2 ½ hours on a motorized canoe with zero chance of a bathroom break in-between, so be prepared for that. The hotel is remote yet fairly luxurious.
