Beautifully appointed, private villas on a secluded 100 acre property. We stayed in Vill Lorea with an infrared sauna and wonderful huge soaking tub in the luxurious bathroom. We enjoyed the company of kangaroos just outside the villa in the mornings and evenings and had an up close meeting with one of them when out walking and exploring the small orchard that feels right out of a Secret Garden.
Christelle and Gilbert were fantastic hosts- communicative through booking and prior to arrival, helpful with suggestions and car arrangements for wine tasting in the nearby Hunter Valley and a stop for lunch at the breathtaking Bistro Molines. (It was about a 20 minute ride so a driver is highly recommended, especially with the very generous pours at Briar Ridge and other local vineyards.)
The kitchen was stocked with breakfast items- eggs, Canadian bacon, milk, bread and oj to mix with the complimentary bottle of bubbly that greeted us on arrival! (Hint: book directly with them to enjoy the upgraded breakfast and wine!)
Our two regrets were that we didn’t stay longer and that we didn’t bring our own food or pick up takeaway! The kitchen is fully equipped, there is a grill on the patio/deck and it would have been the perfect spot for dinner with a bottle of Tyrrell’s Shiraz.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing get away out of the city. We cannot wait to return!

I had a specific idea in mind of how I wanted to propose to my partner. Cedars was exactly that and more...
Firstly, the photos of the accommodation make the place look great. Sometimes you worry that the photos are dated, or taken is such a way to sell the place as being better than it actually is. This is not the case at all with Cedars. The place was nicer and more luxurious looking in real life.
My partner was blown away when we arrived and the manager Chantelle had insured all the custom additional arrival requests were perfectly arranged for when we first opened the door. The chocolates, cheeses, spa products, the specific type of wine requested and the beautiful native boquet I requested.
We stayed in the Terrace Villa and saw no one else during our whole stay. It is a very private villa which was just what we wanted. The only company we shared, was with the kangaroos jumping across the property in the morning.
Despite the privacy, we always felt Christelle was just a quick email or call away if needed. I felt she really went out of her way to ensure our great stay and communicated well during the lead-up and planning of the stay.
Then come the proposal night, with the help of Cedars I booked a private chef and waitperson to come in and do a 7-course dinner. It was beyond amazing and Christelle insured a fine dining table setting with candles and the requested bouquet type was ready and waiting on the outside deck when we returned from our vineyard tour.
Not only this, but I very gratefully noted the additional touches of a candle arrangement on the outside stairs leading to the deck, which she was aware I would be leading my partner up to the table.
The spa was amazing and we enjoyed opening up the lower surrounding windows which provided a perfect outside spa feeling experience.
The included breakfast provisions were good, especially the tasty bacon! We cooked up bacon and eggs on the new looking and very clean BBQs and enjoyed an outdoor breakfast each morning.
The standard toiletries were nice enough to make me note the brand so I can buy them to use at home too. The additional spa products were well worth the money. The salt and sugar scrub was heavenly.
My only regret from the weekend was not spending more time at our villa. My partner said yes to my proposal in the end and we have agreed we will return to Cedars to indulge in more luxury for our honeymoon next year. We have even agreed that we will book fewer vineyard activities so we can just relax and enjoy the accommodation some more.

Everything about this property was absolutely perfect. So peaceful and beautiful. The location is perfect, although we hardly left the accommodation as we loved it so much. The finishing touches are just superb. We stayed at the Villa Lorea, which is the one with the Infrared Sauna. Although the others all have spa baths which would have also been great. Either way, it was amazing. Every room, every appliance is so well thought through, and the host is easily reachable and totally respected our privacy and space. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances, cutlery, the works. Awesome food and essentials in the pantry and fridge for breakfast time, and you can order extras like cheese platters, champagne, desserts, BBQ platters, etc.... i think we ordered most of those and they were all superb. We can't wait to come back again and try one of the other villas as well. Probably the nicest weekend stay I've ever had to date. Just perfect. Thank you.

Stayed at Villa Lorea for a weekend which had literally just been renovated. The place has such a nice feel with beautiful floorboards, modern kitchen and comfortable furniture throughout. Peaceful and isolated, can't complain. Two points I will mention I was disappointed with. One was that I booked through airbnb and paid more on airbnb than it would have been direct. I didn't actually know on airbnb that it was Cedars as they cheekily don't disclose that fact. Not a big deal but slightly annoying. More annoying though was the host Christelle gave me a really negative review on airbnb because we didn't leave the place as clean as she would have liked! I didn't realise that for $1250 per night she couldn't wipe down the kitchen bench for us. We even had the decency to stack the dishwasher for her which I didn't even consider necessary when paying such a price. She also had a go at us for not scrubbing the BBQ enough!! When I questioned her on it she revealed that she does the cleaning herself. Just a suggestion Christelle - PAY A CLEANER, and I guarantee the cleaner will not be complaining.

Secluded and away from the other cabins, we stayed in the Gums cabins. I liked that the full intercontinental breakfast is provided in our stay. And of course, the free bottle of wine. They even provide mossie spray and cottons for removing make-up which I don't find in any hotel or accommodation elsewhere.
And one thing that is so touching is how they turn on the lights and the music to provide romantic vibe on your arrival. These little gestures makes Cedar Mount View stands out.
We love the place. Very cozy and romantic. A stroll around the area and the 'Secret' garden was also relaxing.
On good nights, you can do stargazing in the verandah. Highly recommended to those who wants to have a relaxing days away from the hustle and bustle.
Kudos to the staff and crew especially to Christelle who made sure to maintain this property in excellent condition.

My partner and I stayed in the stunning Vue Villa for the weekend and my gosh… we can’t believe how flawless the whole experience was. The villa is full of luxury touches! Nespresso coffee machine, gas fireplace, heated bathroom flooring, big shower which looks out to the country side, luxury robes. We especially loved the sunken in 2 person bath. We had the Romance package on our arrival and it blew us away. Highly recommend! It set such a romantic atmosphere and just kicked off a beautiful stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a simple breakfast and coffee each morning. We were also very lucky to get a late checkout so soaked up the relaxation that bit longer. We will certainly be returning in the future. Perfect for anything from a couples getaway to special occasions like baby moon, honeymoon.

We stayed in the Gums for just one night but will have to stay more nights on our next visit. The villa was delightfully presented, spotlessly clean, everything you needed for a comfortable stay and had lots of nice touches that demonstrated the care and attention to detail that is taken by Christelle and her staff.

Wow, wow, wow!!! This place did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we could tell we were in a very special place and felt instantly relaxed. We stayed in the Vue Villa and it was beautifully appointed, with a lovely outlook and totally secluded. As we sat out on the balcony you could just hear birds chirping and see kangaroos hopping past. We chose Cedars to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary as we wanted to stay in a very special place and it did not disappoint. We decided to book the helicopter lunch tour and that was a great experience. The pilot literally landed right outside our villa and whisked us away to a cellar door, followed by a lovely lunch before dropping us back to our doorstep. If you want a luxury romantic escape in the Hunter this is the place! Highly recommended!

My wife booked the Vue villa at Cedars as a surprise weekend getaway in the Hunter to reconnect and relax. Wow. If you want peace and privacy, this place has it in spades. We did not see another person there during our weekend stay. Just kangaroos, birds and the occasional cow over the fence. Vue villa looks over freshly mowed lawn to gum trees and the ridgeline of Mount Bright in the distance. The villa feels very modern and fresh and is thoughtfully decorated to create a luxurious feel. There is a large sunken bath/spa, certainly big enough for two. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for short stay. There was no cellular reception in the area but the villa's WiFi was excellent. We enjoyed eating breakfast out on the deck in the winter sun, and afterwards the sun lounges on the deck got some use, just soaking up some sun rays on a stunning Saturday morning, listening to and watching the native birds. Just be prepared for a 20 minute drive to the heart of Pokolbin, which we were prepared for and didn't both us at all - we love the Mount View area.

We stayed in the Terrace Villa. Walking through the front door you were greeted with such a beautiful fragrance, music playing and the room was so lovely it took your breath away! The view is so serene, visits from the kangaroos was an added cute bonus. Highly recommend this place for some real time away from city life. Recommend cooking your own dinners as the road in and out could be a bit challenging at night. Breakfast provisions provided were perfect! Would love to return in winter to enjoy the fire. Will be back!

Hello, yes there are a number of breakfast options. There is cereals, fresh bread, mixed jams,Vegemite, marg, fresh eggs ,bacon for each day. There is fresh orange juice in fridge as well.Pantry stocked with condiment ,olive oils and sauces. In fridge with milk of your choice are two lovely cakes. Also two large cookies with the coffee and tea options as well as a few other inclusions.
We always bring fresh fruit & veg, as well as meats etc for the BBQ. On the veranda. They offer a couple of bottles of complementary wine of your choosing as well.
