Lyn, Carl and Olive are friendly down to earth people. Have a yarn and a joke, great layback hostpitality. Temp your fate at whip cracking and find out you are a pro!! Horse ride with new vigour. Feed a sheep and or a joey and they will follow you for more and a pat and a cuddle. Great meals and a fantastic station set out for many activities if you wish. I highly recommend a stay at Myella Farm.

We visited for one night/2 days at the weekend and can not speak highly enough about Myella farm. I am from UK and my friend is from NZ. This was our first farm stay experience and we loved it! It couldn’t have gone any better! What we loved about Myella: Lyn and Carl - amazing accommodating hosts who have a wonderful way with guests; we were excited about trying all the new things and they really got into the spirit of it with us! Location - 90 mins from Rocky and amazingly peaceful Scenery - loved the red soil and flowers Welcome brief from Lyn The animals Louis and Leroy and shadow ❤️ Hand feeding the animals Delicious home cooked food Most delicious farm milk! Best ever Dinner with Lyn, Carl, Olive and other guests by the open fire eating delicious home made food Cards and laughs after dinner Clean and tidy room Sunrise walk through the paddock - we took a flask of tea and sat on top of the hill, on the way back there was so many kangaroos in the fields Cooking breakfast on the open fire Horse riding lesson - Carl is amazing Swim - to cold for me but my friend loved it Farm tour- led by shadow and accompanied by Leroy the lamb! Amazing loved it! Home cooked lunch Time to laze in the hammock with a cold beer Met other guests and had fun! Tried milking cows- harder than it looks but daisy saved day with her HUGE udder. No rush to pack room up - was able to get a shower after hot day on farm before heading home Great value for money! So if you are thinking of visiting do it! Top shelf experience and would love to return one day! Tried lots of new things and have only positive things to say!!! Well done!

Myella is an amazing place! Lynn and Carl are such friendly hosts and really love to share their farm life with their guests. We stayed three days and loved every minute of it: you can join however many activities as you want from collecting eggs from the chickens, feeding the calves, milking the cows (a first for me, really cool experience!), doing a horseride, watching the groups of kangaroos the live on the premises or even feed the orphans that are hand-/bottle-raised by Lynn (when we were there it was Yuke, soooo cute!), whip cracking, sitting around the fire and playing "bop it" (we laughed so hard that night!) and so on, or do nothing. it is up to you and how you participate will shape your visit at myella. The food is fine (don`t expect anything fancy, you are on a farm), well tasting, with a good selection to suit kids and parents, meals are lively (no hats or devices allowed, you are expected to make small-talk ;-)) and the atmosphere is like you are part of the family. We were lucky enough to be able to move some cattle with Carl on horseback and watch his working dog in training doing most of the job. That was fun. Horse rides are walking only for several reasons at Myella (terrain, the horses are almost all retired and only having their "second life" at Myella, so don`t expect a wild ride.) Nevertheless this was well communicated beforehand and the scenery of the farm with all the semi-wild kangaroos is so beautiful, the rides are very worthwhile! We would highly recommend this place to everyone who would like to dip into the Aussie outback farmlife culture and its beautiful landscape!

Thanks for the lovely review Lena, I am so excited that the Bop-it game even got a mention :) And I get a kick (enjoyment) from reading that you mentioned "dip into the Aussie outback farm life culture" because that is what I wanted to share since 1993. It brings a smile to my face - what we built our farm stay on all those years ago is still the same even after so many other things have changed the Magic of Myella lives on :) Have a super holiday Lyn and the gang

We stayed for two nights, but the kids fell in love with the place and made us stay a third night and we were happy to be convinced 😉. Did all the farm activities and the horse riding. Real wonderful people, real farm life, great honest approach to guests. The place is beautiful, clean and charming. There's something magical in it and we strongly recommend.
