We stayed here for a night on the way back from a Cape Reinga and were very pleased with it all. Alistair was an excellent host and was very funny. We were very happy with the room and the breakfast service exceeded our expectations! Wifi signal was great, water pressure was good and everything was clean. If we're ever in... More

My wife, daughter and I had only one overnight and on day at this motel. The owner of this appartement was very friendly and submitted lot of proposal for or next activities and some alternatives for restaurants. The stay was also perfect! The apartment was impressive clean and the breakfast was a dream. Whenever we have the possibility to come... More

Mixed reaction, think we possibly had best room, clean and fresh overlooking pool. Only towels no hand towels or face washers. Host was over enthusiastic tended to try and be funny all the time, and did all the talking, not a good listener. Limited breakfast options especially for vegetarians.

Arriving in the pitch black of night to the warm glow of our room was epic! The room was cozy and inviting, our host was friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and lovely. The TV was the best we have ever had - with all the channels to keep us relaxed and occupied when we wanted to chill out! The... More

I still haven't quite figured out if I did or didn't like waters edge. I have rarely stayed at B&B accommodation so maybe I had different expectations. Host was extremely welcoming but a bit all over the place and sometimes talked rather than listened. Could not fault intentions. My room was clean and adequate but did smell a bit musty.... More

This B&B is located at the end of a street with its own long driveway. The room was small but clean with a shower, kitchenette and portable heater (important in winter). Breakfast was limited. However, it is within walking distance to town. The innkeeper was very friendly and suggested we do not drive ourselves to Cape Reinga but take a... More

Wow, this place is something else. Hidden away down a track on a housing estate in Kaitaia is this little gem of a place. Owned by Alexander and his family, they run this B&B with such friendliness and charisma that you cannot help but feel at home. We stayed in the back room which was a 2 bedroom suite. It... More

Not a lot on the positive side which can be said about this place, except that the room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. Tucked at the end of a suburban street. Ridiculous house rule about taking off shoes before entering the rooms or the dining room. Bathroom arrangements most inconvenient, necessitating taking a shower in one area (with... More

Safety is very important so this BNB suits because it is down a drive off street parking. There is a lovely well kept swimming pool however with a bedroom/ unit looking into it. I felt like I was imposing on their privacy. We had 3 units and they were all reasonably large. The main down side with our accommodation was... More
