Spent one night here and were almost the only ones despite the hotel having a hundred rooms or so. The restaurant had been shut down for 3 years but the bar was still open. All I can say is the price was right (under $100 NZ) but the rooms were old and tired. Clean and adequate but not great. The... More

This old hotel is definitely in its original state which I found quite quirky, but it was tidy enough and provided all we needed for our short stay. Bed was a good size, we had a function at the hotel and our rooms were all placed close to the function room. We had a good night.

Booked here for 2 night business trip but left after one night. Hotel tired and seems to be in a 1980s time warp.... Obviously was once THE place to stay in Kaitaia, but now a shadow of its former self. Bar was closed, only eight rooms were occupied and instead of spacing the guests out they crammed us all into... The worst looking hotel/motel I have every stayed in. Please don't be fooled by the reviews stating this place is okay because it's not!! Very dated room and bathroom was awful. Entire room smelled like mold. Don't stay here. Better off sleeping in your car.

This was a quick stop for us so we just wanted to have a clean bed and bathroom for a reasonable price. The place is dated with a dark, old-fashioned interior but the room was a good size and parking and wifi were free. The place was very quiet so we had a good nights sleep.

For $100, you get....free laundry but you gotta pay for detergent $2. There is no bar or restaurant but there is Thai in the "city". Everything closes at 5pm in this town so be prepared. This hotel felt like there was a residue- clean but super questionable- the bed- lumpy and the pillows were thick as a sliver :( but... More

We stayed in a one bedroom with a kind size bed. I slept fine but my husband found the two-single beds joint together uncomfortable. We were woken by kids running up and down the hall outside at around 7am. The parking was not very spacious and it was a bit of a squeeze parking around the back. We had a... More

Its old, its tired, its cheap! Stayed here for a night to split our trip up, and we were not surprised by our room at all. Its a old cheap motel, you get a clean room with nothing special in it for a low rate! The place is really starting to show its age inside with the wall paper, carpet... More

Well it was a clean room, but that's about the only positive. Very tired and dated motel, a real shame as could be a beauty. The room (premium) was quite spacious but just tragic in decor. The TV very old, not a great picture and not even any Sky TV. Shower worked well. Bed uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Free... More
