Stumbled upon Brookwood Lodge whilst looking for hotel options in the area. Literally, 11/10 for this wonderful experience. The care and attention to detail was simply exceptional, and the warmth and kindness of the hosts made for a very memorable stay. The breakfast was perfect - handmade treats and immaculate service - it's been a long time since my wife...

Stayed here with my son for 1 night and it was an absolute delight. The Lavender room is very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and we stayed at the table chatting with Brian for ages. Great hosts. The house and grounds are really stunning, especially considering it is right in the middle of Beachlands suburb. Highly recommended

The Lavender Room is a charming self-contained suite set in a rose filled garden. The lavender theme and attention to detail is delightful. The ensuite is spacious and spotless with a large shower which really delivers. There were cookies and chocolate as well as real coffee and every kind of tea available in the room. A delicious breakfast was served...

Our first stop on arrival NZ. Great situation to unwind after long flight, 1hr AKL, frequent ferries to city, this is a small uncomplicated seaside/rural suburb. Ambience at Brookwood Lodge great, calm, lovely flower filled spacious garden, luxurious accommodation. We had Lavender cottage, concur other reviews. Our hosts showed true kiwi hospitality: on arrival, Brian took an hour out to...

Brian and Heather are very welcoming. We stayed over the Christmas holidays for 2 nights. We stayed in the Lavender Suite. It's a well appointed room, bright and clean. The ensuite is large, simple with a good walk in shower. There are some nice little touches, a great selection of tea and coffee (instant or press) and there's a small...

We stayed one night in the Lavender room just before Christmas and loved it. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom particularly spacious. The hosts were great and served us a fantastic breakfast. Stay here if you're going to Beachlands!

Brian and Heather are great hosts! We stayed in the Lavender suite, a separate building on the property that has the best bed of all the places we stayed on the North Island. The Lavender suite has a very large, modern bathroom with a great shower and lot of room to move around in the living area. The Beachlands area...

We spent 2 nights in the Lilac room - very comfortable and the breakfasts were more than sufficient to set you up for the day. Particularly noteworthy - the homemade toasted raisin bread! Brian is very personable and chatted to us at breakfast, offered advice on travel in and around Auckland and was most accommodating. The location was close to...

We just stayed one night in this wonderful B&B hosted by Brian. We were in the seperate cottage which has an amazing modern bath with one of the few showers where I can raise my arms without stricking something. The gardens here are beautiful and everything about our stay was just lovely. Be sure to make time to visit the...
