Room spacious and spotless.
Kitchenette facilities really good.
So quiet too as about 500 metres from the small hamlet/the main highway.
We got pizzas from the Cow Shed as takeaways - they were very good.

Stayed here as an alternative because the road north of Kaikoura was closed following the November 2016 earthquake. Room was clean but had that typical motel air freshener smell which I don't like. Quiet location away from the main road and great on site parking...More
Awful, room smelt, bed had dirty sheets, manager was rude when we mentioned this. We saw him yelling at other visitors from overseas, when they asked about rooms.he said he was sick of people thinking they could just get a room by turning up
