We stayed here en-route from Akaroa to Invercargill. Omarama is not the most gripping of places and is a town that seems to have grown up around a cross roads. However, the site was adequate with clean facilities and good people in reception, and if you can get a pitch by the trees it is quire pleasant.

We stayed in a cabin with an ensuite bath and kitchenette at this Holiday park and it was very nice and clean. There was plenty of room for my husband and I with a kitchen that had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was warm. The only negative was the wifi was slow and were unsuccessful... More

My fiancé and I stayed one night in cabin 12- was clean and just what we expected for a basic cabin. Walking distance to the small town and pubs. This is a mix of cabins and Rv spots and the service was friendly. Would stay again if on the South Island.

A great place to stay on your way to / from Aoraki Mt Cook. The place is green, quiet, leafy and the facilities are also clean and tidy. No queues for the showers or toilets. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially in jump starting our Van on a Sunday when we discovered we had a flat battery.😄 We... More

Staff: The staff, both of them, were pretty unfriendly when we arrived. They seemed they couldn't care less and when I went back to ask a question they had the same incredulous expression and stared at you until you walked up to the counter. Seemed like they were not please we were there. The internet didn't work too well and... More

We stayed here on our way to Mt Cook. It was a large site with plenty of spaces and the campervan sites were well spread out as well. The lady who checked us in was friendly and informative. The general facilities were good and the place itself was clean and tidy. We would stay here gain if in the area

We stayed two nights and found that we were given a free upgrade to a larger unit. It was the off season and we had paid in advance but the reception was very pleasant and the cabin was great. The camp is very central in Omarama so you can walk to the shops/pub etc, and it is a good base... More

When I was there, both solo travellers, couples, people with campervans, and even a group of teenagers were hosted, what clearly indicates that the place is a good and reliable option to stay. Staff indicated me every piece of information I needed, and even provided me with some extra tips for my trip. Omarama is a perfect base for Lake... More

Stayed there for 1 night on a powered site in our Jucy camper. Very friendly owners. Facilities were good. Kitchen and toilet/shower were on a motion censor light which was a bit annoying as the light turned off when I was in the shower and I had to go towards the door in my towel to get the lights to...
