We had a lovely clean, spacious room with an en-suite. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us tips on where to eat etc. The grounds at the B & B are immaculate and the view from the room is very tranquil. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh food. My only quibbles were no bedside table to put my...

Everything was great about Reflection Lodge: the location, the room, the breakfasts, whatever you care to mention. But it was the genuine warmth of Raelene, our hostess, which made our stay so memorable. It felt like home, but without any of the work! Of all the places we stayed in New Zealand during our 4 week stay, this was the...

We turned up unannounced to meet friends and were made most welcome. This is a beautiful house set in a very nice location with immaculate grounds. There is a small lake out front with stunning views of the mountains. Despite our unannounced arrival we were still fitted in for a lovely home made meal. Highly recommended

Stayed one night in room with the ensuite bathroom which was quite spacious. The guest lounge would be a nice place to relax if the weather was poor. We had booked to go to Lake Matheson café that evening so didn't spend long with Raelene, but we will not forget the friendly hostess who encouraged us to treat her house...

Spent just one night sadly at Reflection Lodge. The most comfy bed of a 2 week stay. You know your in for a great stay when the opening line from the hostess is "do you want a cup of tea". We had a double room with sliding doors onto a beautiful garden. Our room and bathroom was spotless. Great advice about...

Spent a night at Reflection Lodge a few weeks ago while passing through Fox Glacier with my girlfriend. Raelene the host is fantastic - laughs often and extremely kind. She shared delicious fresh mussel fritters and told us stories about her family and the town. A very kind host who cooked a tasty breakfast, and the room was very comfortable....

Raelene welcomed us into her home and we very much enjoyed our time there. We ended up sharing a bottle of fizz to mark my birthday and enjoying her conversation (and her best candles) late into the night. The bedroom was clean and warm and the occasional buzzing of the helicopters didn't bother us at all. The house is a...

This accommodation has the most fantastic views from its garden of Mount Cook. There is also a helicopter pad at the bottom of the garden. This is good quality accommodation and you are served a lovely continental breakfast.

Maybe we've just been unlucky (looking at other reviews), but a couple things were just not anywhere close to good. We booked the twin, which is not ensuite (only one room is), the pictures are better than reality. The major issue was that, beside the linen was fresh, the pillow and the duvet were not. There was this real ugly...

When we arrived to the reflections lodge, we already had been travelling across the south island for about 10 days with an average of 200 km a day of drive. Therefore, I was specifically looking for a cosy and quiet place to stay. The reflections lodge did the job! The place is lovely, quiet as it is a bit off...
