We stayed at cottage no 3. Two queen bed each in one bedroom with an additional bed making it comfortable for 5 ppl. Free DVD and WiFi which was weak and only reachable in the porch. Excellent farm with horse ranch around which the kids just adored. Friendly owners who shared some knowledge about horse keeping. Overall good value for... More

Only a 2 minute drive from town, in a quiet location with great views. Spacious with a small kitchenette and a lovely veranda. Clean cottages, laundry facilities available and wifi available. We had a very relaxing few nights at the glacier cottages, perfect for friends, families and couples. Would stay again and recommend to other travellers.

As part of my NZ tour last year, I stayed at one of these cottages at Franz Josef Glacier as the price was reasonable. This cottage is located just outside the township. The cottage came with a bedroom and two queen sized beds, one which is located in the open area (it's like a room without any door) towards the... More

I'd read mixed reviews about these cottages, older towels and crockery etc, and they were right, the towels have seen better days but most of kitchen utensils were fine. The compendium said we would get fresh towels and garbage removed every day, which we didn't, but I'm sure if i asked it would not have been a problem. All the furniture... More

My family of four stayed in Cottage 2 during the April School holidays. It was one of the cheapest places we stayed on our trip, so our expectations weren't too high. It was a pleasant surprise, therefore, to discover a cosy cottage in a lovely location. Service was friendly and the cottage was clean. There were free DVDs on loan... More

We had cottage no 2, which was a two bedroom unit. The units are comfortable and well equipped. The cottages are ~2 km out of town and you can walk down to the river or sit on the deck and admire the mountains and the glacier.

Really nice cottages just out of the busy and loud centre of town ! The cottages are really well furnished, clean and quite spacious ! One bad thing though is the really bad WIFI ! Even if they have one you can barely get it due to the metal structure interference !

We loved this place because it was a private little cottage, I wish we could have stayed here a little bit longer, but we were only here one night. Our hosts were awesome and I would recommend this place to others, and I would stay here again!

We stayed for two nights in a two bedroom cottage which proved to be a bit of a mixed bag. Will deal with the positives first. The cottages have a wonderful view of the glacier and are located just out of the village. There is plenty of space for car parking and wandering around. The owners breed minature horses which are... Our initial impressions were favourable - quiet spacious but odd that queen bed in the small living area. Our teenage daughters were quiet comfortable there whilst we slept in miner like single beds which were very uncomfortable. The place was clean but lacking attention to detail. For example we ate off chipped crockery and there was no dishwasher. Bathroom amenities... More
