The hotel overall was much cleaner than I expected. However, my room was a little dusty. The outer blanket smelled kind of musty and was giving me allergies, and when I put it far away from the bed I felt better. The pillows seemed to have strands of someone else's hair inside, but I was able to just ignore that... More

This no-frills property is clean and the rooms are refurbished as other reviewers have pointed out. But, in exchange for the low price, you get no sound proofing. You hear everything through the thin walls; people talking, snoring, doors slamming. Maybe you'll get lucky and have quiet, considerate neighbors but that didn't happen to us. We were tired after a... More

"Don't judge a book by it's cover"!!! How true. This hotel is a good example. From the outside, it looks plain and somewhat like a boarding house. Once you've managed the interior stairs to check-in, you feel the character of the place. Warm and welcoming, friendly staff. The room we had was a 'queen suite' facing the main street. It... More

Like other ratings, stairs to check in but smooth sailing after that. By far the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in- common bathrooms, included. Close to food and ferry. Only draw back was the old geezers who traipsed down the hallway in search of a "loo" after quaffing too much beer at the local brew pub. For the money, this... More

We stayed in room number 10, a kitchenette overlooking the water (though from a couple of blocks). The owner, Tim, is very accommodating. The room was clean and the only noise came from the loudest seagulls I have ever heard. They made me laugh. The only slight inconvenience was my partner's wifi hook-up. My chromebook had no problem hooking up,... More

Stayed here for one night and couldn't be more pleased. The staff were courteous and accommodating when I called to reserve the room and change my reservation. When I got to the hotel check-in was easy and smooth and when I was up in my room I noticed everything was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Having the bathroom and... More

A very handy location. Entry not so flash and there are two flights of stairs. Big clean room, with heating, air, small TV, wash basin, toiletries, wardrobe, hanging space, NO SAFE, FREEWIFI, shared bathroom, off street parking in adjacent car park. Very handy to Port and information centre, many restaurants. There's also a cafe and bar next door/ attached. For... More

26 of us cyclists took up the entire Port Angeles Downtown Hotel. We were all very impressed - this place is an older hotel with the great high ceilings, large rooms and is very well kept. There are a few rooms with ensuites and the rest are euro-style with central bathrooms/showers down the hall - BUT - all is in... More

Before departing the USA for Canada we checked in to the aptly named Downtown Hotel, a room with a bed and nothing else hotel; in the morning we had to go to the diner next door for breakfast. Cheap, cheerful and very convenient for everything - just a block from the ferry terminal
