Went on ski vacation. Hotel hot tub was out of service for 4 of 5 days we were there. Manager had no idea about when it would be fixed. Only able to use first day of stay. Light switch in bathroom flickered was not fixed after reported. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Hotel's Favourite
Our stay was fine with no problems. It's a tad pricey for the accommodations, but that may just be that I am, let's say, frugal. This was Labor Day weekend, so prices may have been higher. It's a nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Just a short ride in our rental car to the trails we hiked, mostly in Wasatch National Forest. I would stay again if ever back in Salt Lake City.

We had just driven for 12 hours, we had a ton of stuff, we were tired. Brian at the front desk was so helpful. We felt perfectly comfortable leaving some of our stuff with him in the lobby while we brought a load up to our room. He also let us know that it was safe to park across the street.

The rooms are almost identical as the real Hilton down town I’m not sure what that says about Hilton but this place was only 80 something dollars. The walls are just as thin at the Hilton that is 200 dollars a night. The only difference is that there isn’t a bar where you can take a 25 dollar bottle of wine to your room for 100 dollars. This place is completely adequate. I think the people with the negative reviews don’t have much experience in hotels. I’m in a hotel at least 90 nights a year. The Hilton brand is so good in Utah. I have stayed in the one on foothill like another person was mentioning how much better it was and the only difference is a a little shop where you can buy a Kirkland bottle of water for 4 dollars. When I want to stay somewhere like the people complaining we’re expecting for literally 60 dollars more you can stay at a Hyatt brand and in my experience it’s worth it if you don’t want to collect the extra money from your tdy allowance. You spend 90 dollars for a room and expect a luxurious experience I just find it humorous. Eat your waffle, yes the walls are thin, sleep in what you paid for because it’s not bad and stop trying to give a crappy review. My room as always been clean, the staff as always been friendly, I have never had my meds stolen like at the Marriott whose housekeepers have access to the safe in the room. You are in a bargain hotel if you want a completely silent room go to to the Hyatt regency and you will get what apparently you expect of all hotels. Other wise stop trying to ruin a business. Also if you have a daughter in a wheelchair in a sensitive medical condition spring for the extra 40 bucks. Again this place is fine comfortably and meets all my needs plus there is hbo. The one and only issue I have had is they ran out of towels so I can’t take my nightly sorry and they need to switch to a k cup coffee maker.

OK stay, the location is very central. Service at the front desk was SUPERB a huge that you to "BRAIN" who was extremely helpful. I often stay at Hampton but this Hampton badly needs renovation, I did not like the pillows and room light was poor, lots of bathroom space but no place to hang pillows. Breakfast was very good.

BRIAN AT THE FRONT DESK WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!!! .and has no idea how to treat a guest!! No customer service !!! BILL ALUAKH PLEASE TRAIN YOUR FRONT DESK !!!!!!! Apparently he could not cancel same day reservations even when I offered to pay a cancellation fee. That’s so ridiculous! He says he has to get approval from his GENERAL MANAGER for every cancellation. Which is absurd because the GM IS NEVER ON PROPERTY. !!!! Learn how to use ONQ and your systems! You should not be working at a Hilton.

This is an old Hampton Inn which is desperately in need of renovation. Nevertheless, our room was clean and comfortable, although the hallway and room smelled like deodorizing spray used to mask other odors. Walls are thin and the woman yelling next door kept me from falling back to sleep after waking up at 6 AM. Check in was friendly and efficient. My Diamond status was not acknowledged and no upgrade offered but we were offered the complimentary water or snack. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn fare. The gym had a few pieces of equipment; we did not use the pool. This property is not as bad as other reviewers describe, but it’s not great.

My wife is allergic to dogs. When we found out that there was a barking dog next door we asked to be moved to a non-pet room. We were informed that ALL rooms were pet friendly. We asked to be moved to another room but, even though the parking lot was practically empty, there was no way for us to move. We asked for a refund, but there was no way to do it because we had pre-paid. I have stayed at Hilton properties for 40 years. This was my worst experience.

The front desk staff was great. Friendly and good customer service. Our room wasn't the cleanest. I always check the bedding before I sleep and the bedding was clean. The beds were not real comfortable. Definitely had dips on each side and a bump in the middle. I can live with that. But there was black, curly long hairs in the TV remote of all places. The port charger was sticky and covered in dust/dirt. An old, used pencil was on the floor. The lotion bottles were half full on arrival. The breakfast was not up to par with other Hampton Inns. The coffee was hot and plentiful though. The attendant kept the dining area clean. I had an issue with kids running in the room above us and Brian took care of that promptly. The hot tub was very foamy. I wouldn't get in it. The gym is tiny with two pieces of equipment, an elliptical and a treadmill. I utilized it for the filtered water. There were strange vehicles in the back parking lot and what appeared to be people sleeping in them. If they pay more attention to detail in cleaning the room, it might be ok. Cleanliness is everything! We stayed 3 nights because it was close to the facility where my husband had surgery. We had no room service at all. I put my trash in the hall to be picked up. Ended up using Wal Mart bags as liners. We would not stay here again.

Room did not have refrigerator there was what appeared to be gum (with wrappers) being used to level Out the dresser. All of this could have been over looked had we not had worst customer service I have ever received. We then pulled the sheets backs found what appeared to be a mite or some smal bug. Not being a bug expert I assumed the worst and thought it was bed bugs( which it obviously wasn’t I later learned because it was big enough to see). I attempted recall the front desk and the phone didn’t work(a small liability). So then I went to the front desk employee to ask if there was somebody from housekeeping that. Oils come to Our room and he said no. His lack of concern or empathy was astounding. He then proceed to tell me that there were no available rooms and he could refund my money. I then explained that we were from out of state and could he call another Hilton In the area to explain the situation and see if he could find us a room because it was late and last minute. He called the Hampton inn SLC airport and did not explain why we were leaving his hotel and did not even give them my name. He wrote down there number on apiece of paper and told me they want you to call them. He then proceeded to argue with my wife and i over the manner in which he would refund our money. He told us we would get a refund via points after we would asked to have the card we used refunded. The o only reason we got the refund was because my wife had to call the corporate office. The worst example of customer service I have had at a Hilton hotels in 20 years of using them.
