Recently spent one week for a conference. Th hotel is on state street and is conveniently located to many restaurants, temple square, city creek shopping center, and the salt palace. Check in was very easy. The staff were typically Marriott, friendly and helpful. Valet parking was 16$ a da as opposed to 14$ to self park. Valet was efficient and...

The good - Reception staff was friendly, the hotel has fresh water in the lobby, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bedding was upgraded. All in all, not a bad experience The bad - we were supposed to have a handicapped room, and my roommate's name was supposed to be on the reservation. Neither happened, though...

princesspuppymommy, Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry to hear that your stay was less than perfect. Based on some of the specific details in your review, we believe your review was meant for another Marriott hotel, not the Salt Lake City Marriott City Center. For example, we do not currently offer Bonus Marriott Reward points instead of Housekeeping...

This hotel reminds me of being in Europe because the lobby is long and narrow and the rooms are small, as if they tried to squeeze the hotel into a narrow property. I much prefer the Downtown Marriott with its spacious areas and views from all rooms. The service, of course, is impeccable, being a Marriott property. But I did...

beachgram54, I am sorry you did not like our hotel. We are planning on renovating the lobby which should help the layout and seating in the public areas. Our standard guestrooms are 390 square feet which is larger than most downtown hotels, including the Downtown Marriott, so I am not sure why it felt so cramped. We appreciate your business...

I was staying at the Marriott Salt Lake City this past week for 6 days. I was there for a conference and several meetings. The service there was impeccable. From the moment I pulled up to the hotel to the moment I left the employees did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. I would rate the service at...

From the moment we arrived the valet was gracious and very helpful. Checkin was fast and easy. Our room was very clean and we had a great view. Overall our stay was excellent. On our last morning while using the iron there was rust on the iron and it stained my girlfriends shirt. Housekeeping. It only brought up a new...

I checked a lot of different websites before staying here - most listed this property as four star. Has the rating system changed? I have stayed in some beautiful four star hotels. This hotel I would rate at three stars. It is not a bad hotel - it is just not what I think of when I think of a...

On arrival, I wanted very much to like this facility. The bellman was very helpful in taking the luggage from the taxi into the lobby. The check-in staff was very efficient. We were on the concierge floor and enjoyed the amenities of the lounge. The offerings in the lounge were very adequate and the food offerings were very good. The...

Larn796, I am glad to hear that most of your stay went well, and I am sorry for any confusion we had in cleaning your room. Our housekeepers are scheduled to clean rooms until 5:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00PM on weekends. This is obviously pretty late in the day but if you would prefer your room to be cleaned...

Stayed at the Marriott City Center for 5 nights while attending a conference in SLC. On the whole, I had a pleasant stay. I'll outline my ups and downs below: Ups: *Location is good. Not right next to the Convention Center like the other Marriott, but easily walkable to there, Temple Square, and a bevy of restaurants. Skating rink right...

Rating probably gets cut down because there is no free WiFi in the rooms. Free available only in the lobby area. Of course, you can pay for room WiFi. Shouldn't need to these days. The hotel is nice, but I had a very unpleasant experience because they lost a bag with medications of mine when cleaning my room the last day BEFORE my checkout. Churi J, I am sorry for the confusion with your medication. The associate who took your initial call did not carefully review the name and room number for the lost and found item that was turned in.
