Hotel's Favourite
This was an unintended hotel stay. After a long day of traveling and having a number of aircraft challenges, including delays, being kicked off an aircraft, broken aircraft, aborting a takeoff at JFK, standing in the middle of nowhere on the JFK ramp, I finally got to SLC, which wasn’t my destination. The airline did look after the passengers and before I had gotten off the boarding ramp, I had an overnight hotel reservation, Lyft ride, and an airport food voucher for $30. However, the most important thing I needed was boarding passes to Vancouver. After working that out, I left for the hotel. When I arrived at the designated hotel, I found about 150 of my fellow passengers waiting for a room. I had seen the Hilton Garden Inn just two doors down. I gave Hilton a call to find out if there was room at the Garden Inn. YES. I was on my way. I only stayed a few hours, but I had a great room and I hadn’t spent hours at the other hotel waiting. They get my FIVE STARS for taking me in at one AM and getting me to the airport the next morning. Thanks.

As Hilton gold club members, we were provided with a tiny bottle of water each at checkin. We weren’t explained about breakfast which is normally included until I queried. We asked to be moved as the first room AC was very noisy. However, the second room was also noisy but we gave up at this point. The good thing was the laundry was 2 doors away on the 2nd floor so that was really convenient and cheap. The breakfast was good after previous visits at Hampton Inns elsewhere. The room was comfortable.

Stayed here due to an early morning departure out of SLC and was not impressed. Upon check in I was thanked for being a HH Diamond member and given 1 bottle of water and was told that no breakfast is available in the morning. Not even a grab and go option. I was advised that the hotel was serving dinner. I questioned the Manager at the desk and said if your kitchen is open to serve dinner, why don't you do the same for dinner? She looked at me with a puzzeld look and said that she would bring that up to the GM. To me, it's simply a crude way of cost cutting. Speaking of cost cutting, they only provide 1 bar of soap for both hand use and the shower. Also, no body lotion, just shampoo and conditioner. All the walls in the hallways and lobby need to be repaired and repainted due to scuffs and scratches. The room doors and the door frame all have previous "Hilton Clean Stay" left over stickers and back peeling still on them. This property needs a lot of attention and Management needs to look at their overall business practices. There are plenty of other hotels in this area to choose from.
Be advised that if you want to use the fitness center, you have to make a reservation as only 2 people in at a time.

+1
I am a Hilton Diamond member and stay at their properties around 120 days out of the year. This hotel is easily in the top three worst Hilton properties I have ever stayed at. Straight out filthy from the carpets, hallway and gym. The hotel parking lot was full the days I stayed here and still they offer no breakfast in the morning which is ridiculous (though they offer dinner at night). Right now, the cleaning staff in the next room is blasting music with the door open while they clean. I cannot believe Hilton associates their name with this hotel. Avoid at all costs.

I had a one night stay at this property. There are a number of positive aspects of the hotel. It appears to be fairly new and modern, I thought that the room was in excellent condition and very attractive. The staff was courteous in the brief interaction I had with them. It's a fairly standard Hilton Garden Inn and was relatively quiet overnight.
A number of small things were concerning. There appeared to be no attempt whatsoever to check me in and provide a digital key, as I got there about 8pm at night (most other properties tend to get me a key by check in time or earlier) causing a delay and an unwanted interaction during COVID. The room had only one bath bar of soap, making it difficult to wash hands as well as take a bath or shower. Currently they are not operating breakfast or their airport shuttle due to COVID, however they are serving dinner. These steps felt to me more like cost cutting than any desire to maintain a safe property.

While the hotel was clean and comfortable, it proved nearly impossible to make a simple room service order. There was no answer on the phone when we called room service and when my 14 year old son went to the restaurant to place the order he was rudely told to go away because they were too busy. When an adult after him went to place an order he was attended to immediately.

Dear jwynn2020, Thank you for sharing your review. We're happy to hear you enjoyed our property, however we would be amiss if we didn't express our disappointment this was not the stellar stay we had intended to deliver. Your experience with our staff was not in line with the vision or expectations that we set for ourselves regarding hospitality and guest interaction. We have shared your experience with our team as a learning opportunity to take our guest experience to the next level. Stayed only 2 days with my son for soccer tournament.
I was advised that in order to get housekeeping service I need to let Front Desk know if I need service. I spoke with General Manager one evening to let her know that we would like Housekeeping service and our bathtub is clogged so please send someone to fix it next morning. When we came back after soccer tournament nothing was done. Very bad service and no one cares. So dissatisfied.

I was issued a room with A/C that did not work, so they gave me a different room with good A/C controls. When we asked what time breakfast was available we were told they are unable to find adequate help/employees to provide breakfast. The elevator was very slow and shabby ~ in needs to be updated or repaired.

Arrived early evening and called the hotel for their on demand shuttle and received quick service. Checkin was easy and when I arrived it was obvious by the crowd at the bar that people were enjoying dinner and a drink. The room was clean and bright. Temperature controls worked well (I had just spent two nights at different hotels in Canada where the rooms were hot)so this was a big deal. The bed was comfortable and room quiet. Breakfast was good and again the shuttle to the airport was very convenient. The cost was a little on the high side for a Garden Inn but especially for business it was reasonable.

Stayed here twice in one week on a road trip to and from Calif. and found the beds to be very comfortable. I feel the beds were plush like a pillow top that hugged your buddy but you didn’t sink into it like a soft or broken down mattress. Did not take the Airport Shuttle but HGI Web Site says it’s not available. I will agree with the person above, A/C is noisy. One added feature is that the restaurant was open for take out up to your room or for limited dine inn seating. All Coronavirus Protocol was followed by hotel and restaurant.
There is a patio/outdoor seating area to the right of the hotel entrance. It also has a heating element.
I was a Park City last week. It’s an easy 40 min drive mostly on interstate roads.
