Having been to Albuquerque many times, I wish we would have found this place years ago! Arnold is a superb owner/operator and tour guide who makes Casita Chamisa a unique experience. He brings to life the history of the property which goes back to at least 2,700 b.c. which he and his wife Kit proved through carbon-dating of artifacts found... More

I wonder if this B&B is still open. I tried to make a reservation but without any result. They didn't reply on emails and or phone calls. I left a message on their website, sent emails and left a message on the answermachine. Nothing back! We really wanted to stay there but after weeks of trying I decided to book... More

It has actually been some time since my stay here but it was so good I had to write. The owners were so charming and interesting! If I am back in the area again, it would be absolutely wonderful to see them again.

What a find. Where else can one sleep on a 700 year old Pueblo site, meet an engaging 88 year old host with a twinkle in his eye and be close to all amenities. Arnold makes one want to stay and listen to his stories for more than just the time one has booked at this historical B&B. If you... More

This is a beautiful and extensive B&B in Los Ranchos, one of the nicest neighborhoods (if not the nicest) in Albuquerque, near various farms, ranches, wineries, etc. It has a large (though quite warm) pool, and an extremely affable host. Breakfasts were excellent. A remarkable feature of the property is the archaeological research that's taken place there.....be sure to see... More

I've never bothered to complete these evaluations, but staying at Casita Chamisa is an extraordinary experience - I say this after having stayed at many B&B's. Why is it so special? The location, just north of downtown Albuquerque, is beautiful, convenient for going to Albuquerque or departing for Santé Fe, and near an excellent Mexican restaurant. The bedrooms are good,... My husband and I stayed at Casita Chamisa on a Saturday evening in June. We had a wonderful stay. Arnold was a gracious host and sent us to a wonderful restaurant where the blue margaritas were very good. His blue corn pancakes for breakfast were outstanding. We enjoyed watching the video before breakfast about the exploration done on the property... More

We wanted to get to know Albuquerque and its neighborhoods, as we are considering moving there in the future. Our two nights at Casita Chamisa were great! Arnhold is a delightful host, full of interesting stories, and makes a mean blueflour pancake. The history of this house --as well as the history under the house portrayed in a video by... More

If you want an anonymous, characterless place to stay, don’t choose Casita Chamisa. If you want a distinctive, comfortable place where your host, Arnold, genuinely loves his customers, you should really enjoy this B&B. The Queen Studio was spacious and airy with a comfortable bed and all you could need for a short stay in Albuquerque. The historic Old Town... More

We loved our experience at Casita Chamisa. It was comfortable and beautiful, and we were treated to a personal breakfast prepared by Arnold, the charming and friendly owner. His stories about the property, and the video about his late wife, were intriguing and heartwarming. The heated indoor pool was an added treat. If you are looking for an antiseptic chain... More
