The Dragonfly Ranch is unlike any hotel or bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. The Ranch staff are friendly and caring always looking for ways to make your stay pleasant. Barbara, the owner, believes in alternative methods of healing and is always willing to discuss any ailment you bring with you. We stayed in the Dolphin room with...

This is an interesting place with a stunning view! The team there worked hard to make our stay enjoyable, by providing fresh local fruit for breakfast each day, and also providing snorkeling gear. Now, here's the downside. The listing, upon which we relied for booking, said there was AC and there definitely is not. Here's why that matters. This location...

This is a funky little place off-the-beaten path. We arrived in the dark (not so easy to find and be prepared to open/shut the gate to drive in) but once there, Barbara was very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed for one night, and since we arrived late, we ate our take-out dinner under the common canopy/deck and had a...

Beautiful place and beautiful People. Nature and wildlife around. It's not a 5* hotel with jacuzzi. It's a place where u can run away from civilization, take deep breath, relax, meditate or learn how to do that. Perfect to find yourself. Crew is awesome, food delicious, fresh and organic. I can find some crazy spiders, chameleons and lizards - cause...

After spending 5 nights in Kailua-Kona I spent 4 nights here and I much preferred my stay here. It felt like a tropical paradise. Barbara (the owner) and her Dragonfly team (family) are a wonderful, welcoming group of people who are happy to answer all your questions and give recommendations for things to see and do and nearby places to...

We had just one night in Kona, but were delighted with the accommodations and view from Dragonfly Ranch. The breakfast featured oat groats, a variety of breads, local fruits and a wide array of jams. And the best snorkeling we found in Hawaii was located just minutes from the ranch.

We loved staying at the ranch. When we arrived, we were given a free upgrade and our room was so inviting. The bed was fabulous and the night noises of the geckos was so different and relaxing. Barbara was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations of places to go. If you like peace and tranquillity, this place is for...

The Dragonfly Ranch is not for the folks looking for the modern "Resort" where everything is out of Star Trek, with tuxedoed servers and your slippers walk out to meet you. The Dragonfly is beautifully, organically rustic with down to earth people who look after you. The owner Barbara, has several small dogs, the cats gleefully live on lizards and...

Dragonfly Ranch has several perks and a good stay for the right type of traveler, but it is certainly not the place for everyone. The management takes pride in creating an open-concept, natural B&B. We loved the fresh fruit breakfasts and took advantage of the free snorkle gear available to use during our stay. On the downside, it is pretty...

An honest review. These lovely folks may not have seen our Marriott We Are Not warning about sound sensitive people needing to beware that sound travels in Hawaii. Most of our guests are ok with that. But VERY sound sensitive people notice the frogs and such more than other people. Wise advice to note. We do, however, provide earplugs for...
