$153 a night we are expecting upscale amenities, but ended up quite disappointed. How or where do I begin, well let start with the positive: 1. Really close to the ocean with a view from the room. 2. Mini refrigerator and microwave in each room. 3. Good size bathroom. 4. Good size room. CONS: 1. Dirty rooms, literally dirty poor housekeeping, short cuts all the way. Sheets pillow case not changed you can see stain all over. Towels old like used over 100 years. 2. Where can you find the coffee maker inside the bathroom with a used coffee still intact to the machine. 3. Their restaurant food is horrible dont eat there. Go to seaview brewery instead. 4. Its basically a run down hotel that has just been neglected overtime. The owners don't want to invest to renovate the place as they know that their view is the price you pay.

I booked this as part of a road trip up the California coast. Unfortunately there was a landslide that closed the main road plus 2+ hour delays to get to the hotel. Because we were on a tight schedule to reach out destination we had to change course and cancel that portion of our trip. I tried to call this hotel and cancel multiple times, on multiple days to discuss my cancellation. Their policy is to cancel prior to day 2 days before the reservation. No one picks up the phone and when they do they put me on hold for 15+ minutes and never return. When I finally got through to someone on Friday evening (3/12), I was told a manager would be calling me but no one has called. That was the only time I was actually ever able to speak to anyone. There is no voicemail. I emailed last week without response. I don't understand how you can run a business this way. Now they've charged my card for the reservation. Ridiculous. 100% do not recommend, would give 0 stars if I could.

Stay at Oceanview motel south of town. iPhone outlet provided didn’t work. Gym pool hot tub closed but rates remain the same. Restaurant WAY overpriced and mediocre food & service. I’m sorry, but it’s true😞

Came upon this gem due to a landslide on Hwy 101 blocking our return south. We were fortunate to get the last available room without a reservation. Although it was a rainy, cold weekend, the clean, comfortable room with a view made our inconvenience of not being able to drive home, more tolerable. Our room had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. Would like to come back in better weather.

This hotel is the WORST. We had JUST lost a family member and needed to regroup on our travels from the devastation of our loss.... so we picked this place.....this was a HORRIBLE place to stay. The bed isn’t a bed, it’s a PILE of old dirty broken box springs under an old saggy mattress. Floors are dirty, hot tub was dirty, we had to clean it ourselves. Fixtures are broken, bathroom walls are so dirty and many items BROKEN. I called to complain and the OWNER HUNG UP on me after yelling at me to go on the internet and find another number....( there is no other number) I even injured myself and she didn’t care. She would not take me call, or complaint.... This was a KING SUITE with a hot tub and balcony view of the ocean... worst place ever. Oh yeah and the room service is non existent.... you have to pick up your food and PAY FULL ROOM SERVICE PRICE and TIP to get styrofoam boxes and plastic utensils. I’ve stayed in places this last year that STILL do room service, but the employees at this place refuse to do RS, but ya still gotta pay FULL PEICE. Plus their “included breakfast” is minimum $1.50 for 6 OZ of coffee....what happens to free coffee, if BREAKFAST is INCLUDED in the price, then it would stand to reason the coffe is INCLUDED. The exterior is littered with trash, debris, and cigarette butts EVERYWHERE not to mention, the lobby that LITERALLY had TAPE holding their couch together and this is supposed to be a luxury hotel.... I’d like to be reimbursed for half the stay or at the least a call to fix the situation but the owner REFUSES to return my call This is what $160 and an injury will buy you at The Oceanfront Lodge in Crescent City. If you value your money abs SAFETY ..... RUN fast from this place . If there was a rating less than 1 I’d give it that
