We stayed in room 107 and even though we were on the first floor we could still see the lighthouse. The place is right on the water and the lighthouse is only 2 blocks away. It was a nice room w/ king size bed. Staff is very helpful, especially Andrew. Breakfast was standard fare but got the job done. Due...

this hotel is right on the water, beautiful view, easy access to beach!! nice place, we very much enjoyed. We had a suite with a hot tub, had enough towels, small kitchenette. It felt nice and clean, pretty good breakfast as well.

We stayed at this hotel on August 5, 2013 after having driven nine hours from Central California. We were planning to stay in Ashland and/or Grants Pass but the air quality was very poor due to the forest fires. At check in, the young clerk was very cheerful giving us a rehearsed list of amenities of the hotel, i.e. the...

We would like to tell everybody traveling on hwy101 that this hotel is the best hotel between SF and Portland. The ocean view is fantastic. We had a suite room on the third floor and can watch the wave all day long. The breakfast is way better than most franchised hotels because we had a lot of fresh fruits to...

We spent the 4th here this year, and it was a lot of fun. We had a 2nd floor room, and didn't have to leave the porch to watch the fireworks! Fantastic view of the ocean and lighthouse. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was OK. Spent the 4th of July watching the local parade (they're pretty much the same wherever you...

I can understand some of the negative reviews. This hotel has changed to private ownership and is in the process of putting in a restaurant and other updates. I personally loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I went around the city and compared to the other hotels offered this is the only one I would stay...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Canada. I would have to say, this hotel and its view ( we stayed in room #316, third floor King with balcony view of the lighthouse and ocean) is the only thing nice in this gloomy run down town. I have visited Crescent City many times in my life as...

Quite frankly, I don't understand the negative reviews. (Competitors, perhaps??) This is our 2nd time staying at the Oceanfront Lodge and we honestly think it is THE best place to stay in Crescent City. My husband even made the comment about how there aren't many hotels that are themselves a destination. This one is it. The beach is rugged with...

The best and the worst hotels get reviewed by me, unfortunately this is one of the latter. I typically don't stay at privately owned hotels but this time I decided that the location was too good to pass up and went against my better judgement, I wish I hadn't. My family and I booked at this hotel for the nights...

We checked in late and our 3-year old daughter wanted to drink milk. When we asked where we could buy milk, Andrew, the front desk clerk, went to the kitchen and bring back milk to us, which we appreciated.
