I wanted a hotel with character and not a hotel chain. Lighthouse Inn had the holiday decorations inside the hotel lobby for this time of year. There was always someone friendly and available at the front desk to check us in and answer questions. Their location is right across the street from the ocean and conveniently located right off the 101. The rooms were spacious and everything was clean and comfortable. It was a nice home away from home while enjoying the Redwood Forest and California coast scenery. I definitely recommend staying at the Lighthouse Inn!
I really do like this hotel. I have stayed here three or four times, and it has always been clean and comfortable. However, it is doubtful I will stay here again. I was at the property in early October. Every single customer was wearing a mask, not one single employee was masked. Two people at the front desk, and one housekeeper--none had a mask on. What is more discouraging is that the hotel emailed me after my stay, asking for my feedback, and upon telling of this problem and how uncomfortable it was, I got absolutely zero reply. Not a word. If you are at all concerned with personal health and safety, clearly this hotel is not.
My husband is a paraplegic so having a handicap room is very important. My husband uses a motorized wheelchair. We need two beds and a roll-in shower which can be difficult to find. The handicap room we had was at the end of the hall on the first floor. There is an exit close by so we were able to go in and out of that door. The handicap parking is to the right of the front door. We found parking close to the exit door we were using but it wasn’t van accessible parking. The morning we checked out there was a car parked next to us. A small inconvenience. The front desk staff was very nice. Check-in was smooth. There are carts to use for your luggage. The room was clean and well laid out. We were able to move the wheelchair around the room easily. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large with a nice roll-in shower. The room also had a mini-fridge which was great. The hotel is close to everything. We were close to the lighthouse and the redwoods. It was a great stay. We would stay here again.…
I went on a trip with my two boys and one of their friends and the room we got had 3 queen beds and a lot of room in between. There was also a fridge and microwave along with the sink being separate from the toilet/shower. There was plenty of room for us all to stretch and get privacy.
Spacious room 3 queen beds in large room. Comfortable beds Location right on main strip. No continental due to covid-19 Staff friendly Parking was fine. Close to other amenities Good price for a quick sleep
