My family has been visiting the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park since 1982, and both my brother and I worked there when we were in college. It's a long-standing, much-loved family vacation spot with lots of great memories.

We always come here in the summer and stay in a cabin, and go on hikes in RMNP every day. We all love it. Dad and daughter love hiking, little boy loves day camp and all the sports activities we do when Dad comes home...More
We always rent a cabin, and that remains fairly predictable in terms of the experience. This visit we avoided the Pine Room or other on-site food sources because we're talking Golden Corral quality, at least based on our experiences in recent years.
An ongoing joke...More

There are a variety of cabins. IF I gave you the names of certain cabins, there is no guarantee that you will get that cabin. I have been trying for 10 years to get back in the cabin that we stayed in when I was a child in the 60's. There are newer cabins across the road from the main YMCA campground. Those cabins are usually newer (dishwashers and TV) and usually larger. We just love staying there so that we have room to stretch out, have a full sized kitchen, our dogs can stay with us, there is always a nice relaxing porch to sit out and enjoy the scenery. The cabins are not that close together. There are many activities going on that there is surely something for all ages.
