The Baldpate Inn is not for everyone. If you like the feel of a more rustic Bed and Breakfast in the mountains this might be the place for you. There are nice communal areas and a very interesting key collection room. The outdoor porch area...More

I overheard them telling someone that they prefer reservations so that they can plan accordingly. They have a large dining area but the lodging and those overnight residents create the major workload for the crew of young staff. Breakfast is included if you stay overnight and the day I was there it was very busy. I think lunch or dinner is not as crowded. If you are in the area and want to have a meal there I would recommend a reservation to be safe.

"The Wrangler cabin was fun. Didn't visit any guest rooms in the main lodge."
