Loved the room, views, and the staff. Will definitely go back. Yes, it is a few miles from Estes Park (which was a plus for us). After dealing with the chaos down town, a much welcome ride to peace and quite. Correct, there is little or no cell service (was fine with us) but wifi worked ok for us. And...

The hotel was in a pretty good location. Quite expensive for what you got though; however, we booked last minute on 4th of July weekend so anything else available had crazy prices and weren't even close to the park. Dao House is located about 15 minutes from Estes Park, so it was only 20 min. to RMNP entrance. This made...

My 27 yo son and I stayed at the Dao House approximately 2 weeks ago during a fishing trip to the Big Thompson River and Rocky Mountain National Park. We made the decision approximately a week before the trip and lodging in Estes Park, predictably, was difficult to identify. We located a room at the Dao House that had a...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is fantastic. Nestled right in the middle of several major trailheads like longs peak, twin sisters, and Estes come. The hotel itself needs some major renovations. Our ceiling fan was not even assembled to be functioning. There is no ac is the hotel rooms, so a functioning ceiling fan is necessary. The...

The hotel location is beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, this place is really like a mountain lodge and they try to market it as some eastern or new age retreat. It's definitely not that. We had a good night's sleep there but the place is not very mainstream. They had weird breakfast items and my nephews could...

We stayed at Dao House for a few nights to visit the Rockies. In terms of location, the hotel is perfect for this. Sat on Highway 7, it takes about 10 minutes to drive down to the centre of Estes Park or to the East Entrance of Trail Ridge Road. The rooms are spacious, but a bit old fashioned. The...

The cabins are clean and well maintained but some might feel they are old, although the charm made it nice for us. The staff is friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We did a horseback ride and saw beautiful peaks and views. Well worth the time for this. Breakfast was good, but would be better if they served eggs. We...

If you're looking for a no-frills place to stay outside of the bustle of Estes Park, Dao House fits the bill. Our cabin was clean and tidy, but the shower didn't drain for hours. There was no A/C, so we kept the cabin door open when we were around to allow a cross breeze through the one screened window that...

We made a last minute reservation for a family members birthday - 2 lodge rooms and a "cabin suite" which my mother got "upgraded" to. First off, each one of us passed the lodge because the name on the sign is too small to see it from the road. The dirt roads surrounding the property are not maintained and there...

The setting is lovely. The staff are very nice and attentive. Apparently the property was hit hard by a flood a few years ago. They were repainting the cabins while we were there. The building was in good condition. Some of the furnishings were a bit worn. The chairs in the rooms and the dining area looked rough. The beds...
