Location is great if you want to visit Brown University. Valet parking was expensive but worth it. The room was beautiful; however, the water pressure in the shower would go up and down quite frequently. Service in all respects was very good. The only real...More
From the outside, the hotel looks like a stately government building, complementing the RI State Capitol just across the street. On the inside, the hotel is chic, more modern and dare I say somewhat hipster-ish. I've been here 3 times already with at least 2...More
The hotel was nicely designed and very clean. Upon arrival, the front desk asked why we were in Providence. We told them that we were celebrating our anniversary. In about a half hour, there was a knock at the door - champagne and strawberries delivered...More
There is something about this hotel which is classy, warm and friendly while not being stuffy or uppity. I was pleased with the quality of the rooms, service, and bathrooms. I found the hotel bar to be of exceedingly good quality. I will certainly stay...More

Dinner in Providence is first-rate. There are plenty of great restaurants, especially in the Federal Hill area. Since the area is home to Johnson & Wales University, where there's one of the country's best Culinary and Hospitality programs, you'll find young students and recent grads who are working their best to further their careers. As a result, you find amazing food at the local restaurants (even the chains), and great service at the area hotels. The Renaissance always has young people working there, and they're always friendly, helpful, and professional.
The bottom line is, you can't go wrong eating anywhere in Providence.

Hello and thank you for your question. You can valet park at the hotel for $30 with full in and out privileges. The closest garage is at the Providence Place Mall. This garage is 1/6 mile away and is $25 for 24 hours.
