You could say that I didn't have high expectations for staying above a Tavern in this small, little town, but I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! Our room (#3) was cute, charming, and clean. The common area was also very nice with great views. We were the only ones staying here this particular night, so that meant we were...

We liked the inn's location and view. The amenities were pleasant enough including coffee, muffin and yogurt for breakfast. Unfortunately the walls between the rooms were not insulated and you could hear EVERY sound our neighbors made--kind of off-putting. The dinner at their restaurant was very good and the service most hospitable

Super location and view plus one of the best muffins I have ever had - based on that muffing I wish the restaurant had been open for dinner when we were there. The host was super accommodating and room was cozy - did I mention the view!!

Jim & his warm staff made our biking adventure perfect, fun and well-nourished. The room was great, views were stunning, Lubec is fortunate to have this asset to offer people like you and me. Pictures on line were accurate, but to be able to call room 3 (excellent large bed, views froma well-designed common-room) OUR room was a terrific way...

Lubec, Maine may not have many choices as far as lodging, but that doesn't stop the Water Street Tavern & Inn from providing a wonderful place to stay. My room was immaculate, and came with homemade cookies! The WiFi worked well, and there was a spacious common area with a sink, refrigerator, couch, table, and large picture window. In the...

We asked at our hotel about the best place in town for dinner and were directed to the Water Street Tavern. The hamburgers were excellent, the beer was cold and the staff were very friendly. Add to that a view of the seals feeding in the Narrows and it was a perfect evening!

We payed extra to stay in the suite and were VERY disappointed! We went to the tavern to check in and the lady took us around back and let us in. The bed was not made and had obviously just been slept in. There were spills, crumbs and stains on the couches and tooth paste splattered on the sink and...

The room was very homely decorated with the atmosphere of an B & B. The public livingroom with big windows to the canadian island Campobello is very comy. Especially nice where the homemade muffings for breakfast that where compulsory. We´d love to stay again here!

I was referred to this Inn by the nice people of the Eastland Motel who were full. They called Jim at the Water Street and he met me when I arrived. The room I had was a two bedroom apartment that was super cool and right on the water. I didn't want to leave. And in the morning Jim delivered...

Power outages and upturned trees didn't stop us from sampling the good food Lubec has to offer. Dinner by candlelight was available at the tavern, and we took a chance. So glad we did! The menu was limited because there was no power, but being seafood lovers we thought it was perfect: lobster rolls, lobster stew, haddock chowder and steamers....
