We've just returned from a fantastic few days at the White Stallion Ranch. Everything we experienced, from the food to the activities was excellent. The riding schedule is great with something for the everyone, and we also enjoyed rock climbing, archery and rifle shooting. Food is great, with cold water, hot drinks and lemonade available as needed. All the staff we met were great and friendly, however my children particularly enjoyed their activities with Micheala and she was so patient with both of my children. We're already planning our return trip! Thank you for such a wonderful time.

We spend a week at the Stallion Ranch in July, we met amazing people and had a wonderful time. Family Run Ranch/Resort: This is a family run resort and the owners are present and available. It was common for some of them to be serving breakfast on the breakfast ride, host the rodeo, grilling dinner, at the front desk or helping the shooting instructors if the 5 to 1 ratio was exceeded because an additional guest or two asked if they could join at the last minute. You feel and see that the family lives at the resort and work hard to ensure that the ranch runs smoothly. Rooms: This is a registered historic hotel, which does not mean luxury. However, rooms are big enough and comfortable. Everything in the rooms and the property is very well maintained. The beds were all comfortable. Some of the rooms have outdoor fireplaces and they all have outdoor patio furniture. Staff: The staff is great. Activity staff are focused on safety (which is wonderful) and they go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. The front desk staff were also fantastic they also went above and beyond to accommodate guest request. You often saw staff recognizing past guests and you can see that not only do families return year after year but staff remember them and go out of their way to accommodate their old friends. Daytime Activities: There are a lot of activities at this ranch we participated in horseback riding, e-bike rides, crafts, archery, desert/medicinal walks and talks, team penning and cattle sorting. They were also testing a new activity while we were there (jeep rides through the desert). Evening Entertainment: After dinner entertainment included stargazing, music, a critter show, art class. In addition there is a game room and a media room and always someone playing chess or a group working on a puzzle in the lodge, Food: Breakfast - there was always a breakfast special and you could always order eggs. In addition there is a full continental breakfast and scrambled eggs, sausage bacon and hash browns. Lunch - there was always a grilled sandwich, salad, cold cuts and vegetables. Dinner: there was always a fish option and if you were a vegetarian you could always find something to eat as the chef veggies and salad were always good. The food is not gourmet but it is good and no one is going to go hungry. Kids: There isn't a separate kids program at this ranch but that being said for kids 8 and older there is plenty to do, Most activities are open to kids 8 and up and if they are not the ranch is sometimes willing to make an exception if they believe the child can handle the activity and there are no safety issues. Also, what you really saw was families doing activities together. In addition, there are always kids around and they seem to have found each other and made "game room" or "pool" dates in their downtime. The lack of a kids program at this ranch is not a negative it seems to work really well for them and I would consider it a plus. We really had a wonderful time at the White Stallion Ranch and we will return again.

I researched several dude ranches, near and far. This had everything I was looking for. My boyfriend and I spent 6 nights. I did all the activities I had wanted to do. They include activities with your 6 night stay. All meals also included for 6 night stay. We were matched with a horse we could ride all week. The wranglers and staff were all nice and helpful. You have a choice of slow or fast riding. We did e-biking with was new for us. We are taking advantage of the spa today. They do a rodeo show. There is rock climbing, crafts, jeep tours, archery, and gun shooting. Everything guided, we had fun with .22 caliber target shooting and archery. Lots of people from around the world, many come back every year. We are thinking of bringing our grown sons next time, great for families with small children. The extra guest speakers they have were interesting too. We saw critter show, astronomy expert, and edible walk were excellent. They do have a screening room and a tv room (shared), but we did not miss having a tv in our room. We would feed the horses snacks right outside our room. The knowledge of the guides is amazing.

My husband and I took our two grandkids here. (Ages 11 and 8) We all had a wonderful time. There’s so many activities other than riding horses. The staff was so nice, efficient and they all acted as though they loved working there. We are so glad we picked this ranch. The only thing I would do different, is go when the weather is not so hot.

We all loved the White Stallion Ranch. We were busy but felt refreshed when we got home. The horses, staff, scenery, accommodations, food, & non-horse activities were all amazing. I highly recommend going!

My 9 year old grandson and I just spent 3 nights at White Stallion Dude Ranch and had the experience of a lifetime!!! Horseback riding lessons, trail rides, e-bike fat-tire riding, archery, rifle and pistol shooting, great pool, hot tub, spa which I didn’t use. lots of families with kids, international visitors, good meals! (Especially the ribs!) crafts, game room for kids, daily happy hour! Evening entertainment, snacks, lemonade, tea available all day! It was hot hot when we went, so we will know to do only morning horse back riding if we go again in the summer. All of the staff and wranglers were so welcoming and attentive!!! Accommodations were very nice!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Every aspect of the vacation has been wonderful. From the airport transfer to the moment we checked out. The horses are plentiful, safe, friendly and willing. The trails and ridden activities are varied and accommodate advanced and novice riders. They have an on-site photographer covering Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to capture those perfect moments. Well worth it!!! Check out the photos. For the non riders ( or when you need to rest those achy bones) there are other activities including painting, craft classes, archery, shooting, hiking E-biking and climbing) The spa, pool and hot tub perfect for afternoon relaxation Not for those watching their waistline ….The food is exceptional, a wide choice available at all meal times. Tea, coffee, lemonade , iced tea, fruit and cookies available throughout the day. 6pm happy hour with snacks gives a great opportunity to meet friends, and dive into the well stocked bar. The bar bill chitties are totalled up and added to your final bill at check out. Every member of staff is well informed, friendly and approachable. This includes the cleaners, ground staff, wranglers, catering team, gift shop and reception. This ranch offers great value for money and flights from U.K. to Tucson (one change) or direct into Phoenix then shuttle bus (about 90 minutes) are more reasonable than flights to other ranch destinations we had considered. For those staying a week or more, transfers from Tucson airport or Phoenix shuttle drop are included. In conclusion, the hospitality, activities, location, value for money are unbeatable.

We stayed for 5 nights at White Stallion Ranch and could not have had a better time. The rooms are beautiful, the food is fabulous and all the activities are really fun. The staff goes above and beyond making sure all your needs are met. While I was there I went on multiple horseback riding trips, learned archery, went e-biking on some awesome trails, learned how to rock climb, relaxed in the spa and enjoyed wonderful entertainment. The White Stallion Ranch team are skilled and top notch guides. You will love every minute!

We’ve been to several Dude ranches and hands down, this is the best. Russell True, the owner, sets the bar for hospitality. The attention to detail, the welcoming staff, the incredible setting and the upscale quality of the rooms and decor makes this a true Western destination for families, couples or a fun girls weekend. We rode Ebikes and horses, enjoyed a great massage, took line dance lessons and hung out by the pool. There’s a full schedule of activities or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful spaces that have been so mindfully crafted. Wonderful weekend getaway, wish we had stayed longer!

We had really been looking forward to this trip for a while. It’s what our family chose for Spring Break, which was especially exciting for my daughters who love horses. The pros are it’s all inclusive. There are a lot of activities to try. The food is decent and there is a nice variety for those with picky kids. The evening entertainment was mostly fun. We loved the critter show, but the campfire singalong was a bust, as the fire never got going and we all just sat in the dark for a bit. The biggest con for us was that my daughter didn’t seem to have a consistent horse. She rode the same horse for three rides and was then suddenly told she couldn’t ride that horse because she wasn’t his rider. I was also put on two different horses (Titan and OhJo), but never really told why. I was under the impression that you were assigned a horse (as their website states), but that didn’t seem to be the case for us anyway. I emailed customer service and even brought it up to the front desk twice. First time, I mentioned that I get that they don’t have enough horses for everyone, but it would have been nice for my daughter to know she wouldn’t be allowed to ride the same horse consistently. They just kept telling me they try their best. Second time I brought it up, they said something was wrong with her horse (but there was another little boy riding it all week too, so I’ve no clue what happened). Again, that would have been nice to know. I eventually got a response to my email, in which they said they would reach out to me on Monday (it was Friday). At the point I was home though and I didn’t feel like dealing with it and I told them not to bother. So I guess my point is that if you have your heart on having a consistent horse for the week, make it very clear ahead of time. I was very happy for most of my trip, but my daughter was so upset about not being able to “ride her horse,” that we won’t be returning.
