What is Certificate of Excellence?
TripAdvisor gives a Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers.
I had misgivings about staying here, having not liked another TownePlace Suites that I stayed at earlier. But the price was right and I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are beautiful,...More
Brittany was wonderful! She went above and beyond and made our stay all the better. Great pool and outdoor fireplace. Breakfast is served daily and best of all the cleaning staff does a remarkable job. Definitely recommend staying here!
Thank Trevor M

we always stay at Marriotts and like TownePlace Suites because of the kitchen. This hotel was nice, clean but a bit worn. Good location, near restaurants and shopping. Safe part of Tucson. Will stay here again.More

For a Marriott location no daily newspaper is provided any more, and the happy hour appetizers have been eliminated. This hotel is owned by a Texas-based franchise group and they are really cheap. Stay at the airport location instead.More

gary a,
Thank you for taking the time to get onto TripAdvisor. We appreciate all feedback.
As far as our social hour, we did eliminate it in an effort to align ourselves with the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Brand Standards. We do apologize that other...More

Most likely is a credit card hold from incidentals (which is held regardless if you use them as the CC polices state if you read the fine print at check in) .....credit card processors and card companies (not the hotel....they authorize the processors ensure its there if needed) "hold" usually $40 ish a night which is released usually 48-72 hours after checkout. They reserve the right to hold it longer especially on debt cards. I travel all the time and this is a common practice. Call your bank if it does not drop off.
