Advertised as the cleanest budget motel in tucson, or something like that. I think the sign and slogan must be from about 50 years ago. I had a kitchenette room; very expensive ($1200 for 11 days) and it was disgustingly filthy. Food on the outside of the cupboards, microwave filled with old food. Didn't cook because the pots and pans...

It is kind of hard to write this review because the gentleman was so nice that is the only reason I am giving them a rating of two. But the place really is a dump..First thing you notice is the room is not very clean. We stayed in a kitchenette {room 303} The cabinets had dark spot of them, the floor needed...

This is advertised as a "budget" motel and that's what you get. There was an older man at the desk both when we checked in and again in the morning. Not all the light bulbs worked in the room. The TV was an old model (not a flat screen). Even though there were just a few guests, we had trouble...

I arrived at 3pm, and I was told they didn't have a room yet. Then the manager although she was sweet required me to pay cash. She never looked at my reservation, I just told her I booked with a company at this price. She then tried to barter me with the price. Not a good surprise. I stayed there...

Their claim of "cleanest economy motel in Tucson" can't possibly be true. Soap scum on the shower walls, dust on the painted blocks that are the walls, musty smell. Room service at about 5 pm or later. Had to ask for more toilet paper. Tiny soaps. Creaky bed. Do have fridge and hair dryer. Scant breakfast of bread slices, corn...

Lazy 8 isnt new or big, but everything works and is clean. Its conveniently located right off the highway,& next to a popular steakhouse. Cons: tiny tube tv (a bigger tube tv would be fine, TV attached to ceiling so hard 2 see it,no shampoo provided! Front desk man not very nice ( Civil, but arrogant) Pros: Cheap, clean, next...

Let me start by describing what I need in a motel: I like to keep it basic and simple. I avoid the four-star palaces, by choice, not by necessity. I travel alone, and a good bed & shower are all I need. The Lazy 8 is one of the least expensive motels in Tucson. It's clean, has free Wi Fi,...

Filthy rooms, trashed beds, ancient matresses, dingy linens, and a completely inadequate air-conditioning system that has never been updated since the 50s when they were installed, no working phone at front desk, no return calls about a left item. The Silver Saddle Steak House next door however is absolutely great.

I was surprises when we arrived. The pictures on the internet must have taken many years ago. The front desk was dirty and cluttered and the bathroom had mold. The pool had no water, Trashy looking, we were placed at the back end of the hotel and at 3am we were awakened by the sound of the police and drug...
