This B&B is about 15 miles outside of Tucson at the edge of Saguaro National Park. So it takes about 30 min to get about anywhere you want to go. We stayed in the Mica Room, which was enormous, with double sinks in the bathroom and its own fireplace. John stacked the tinder and wood perfectly, so we easily made...

There is absolutely nothing lacking in how John and Steffi accommodate their guests. When a friend offered to refer us to another B & B for our next visit to Tucson, I said "Thanks, but no way!" Our compliments and loyalty go to their genuine care and enthusiasm in every important hosting detail. We have now visited twice and look...

We stayed for five nights in the spacious one-bedroom bungalow in mid November 2016. Hosts John and Steffi were friendly and very accommodating. Their B&B has quiet and lovely surroundings. It is across the road from Saguaro East National Park and is convenient to restaurants and stores. Its secluded location provided the perfect setting for each day's conclusion. We definitely...

Located in the quiet Eastern part of Tucson, by the Saguaro East National Park, Desert Trails is still convenient to restaurants, shops and downtown. Host John was most helpful and friendly. He also makes wonderful breakfasts, some with super fresh eggs from his own hens and his homemade chorizo sausage. The depictions of the rooms and grounds on their website...

We stayed in the guest house, which was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The plantings and the birds and the breakfasts were beyond our expectations. Being so far out of the city allowed us to see the stars and to experience an escape from all man-made noises. It was blissful. We also enjoyed horse-back riding in the national park next...

This great place is just 1.6M from the trail heads in the Eastern mountains near Tucson. Has a great pool, comfortable rooms, beds, lots of outdoor social space and a secluded and well landscaped location. A great getaway spot if you love taking advantage of the gorgeous desert nature that surrounds it. John and Steffi are great hosts and serve...

I usually like bed and breakfasts because there is a more personal approach and not the usual corporate, cold one. After checking their website, I decided to book a room at Desert Trails B&B and in less than twenty-four hours I received a reply. After confirming reservation I called them and spoke with John. That gave me confidence that I...

Desert Trails is a hidden paradise right at the edge of Saguaro NP East. John and Steffi are wonderful hosts make you feel at home right from the minute you step through the door.
