We had to switch our rooms once because the non-smoking room stunk w/smoke. Went to another non-smoking room and again there was a smoker's scent in the room. We left door open for fresh air, but would not recommend this hotel.

Many hotels in Tucson are older, especially those near the University of Arizona campus. It seems you have the choice between poorly maintained hotels and very high priced hotels near campus. Airport hotels are mostly newer or very well maintained and more moderately priced. They are, however, about 20 minutes from campus. I stayed at the hotel 3 nights for...

Hello DisneyMom92, I am Mike Foster, the hotel manager. I want to apologize for issues you faced during your last visit. And I absolutely appreciate the feedback. We want every visit to be more like your first in August. I would like to invite you to stay here again, when you next visit Tucson. Please email me, mike@grandluxehotelresort.com, or call...

Let me preface this review by stating we were in town for the Gem and mineral show and all rooms through out the city are booked way in advance as this reservation was. We were to stay for 11 days. This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at in all my life. When we arrived we were...

If you ever plan coming to Tucson... Never book this hotel. The front desk personnel is rude, rooms are old and dirty. I had to change my sheets because they had not been changed. Discusting the carpet is sticky.

This is the worst place I've ever stayed. Our room was filthy - hairs scattered throughout, mould in the bathroom and stains on the bedsheets. This somehow remained the case even after the mid-stay service. Our room faced not only the freeway but also the railway line, and despite the relatively central location of the hotel the regular stream of...

Descent place for price. I am from Phoenix and just stayed since had business and wanted to hike Sabino Canyon- (which I suggest as an option if you like hiking and never been in Tucson). Price for what you get is ok- I didn't smell sewer gas, my room was ok. Reading reviews are funny sometimes because people have their...

Hello Sir, I've taken some time to consider an appropriate response to your review. I understand your feelings, in regards to your missing speaker. And your belief that someone on my staff took it. You had called multiple times as you stated, I was off for a few days, but did finally speak with you the day I returned, however...

The reviews saying the rooms and lobby smell like sewage are not a lie. My wife and I decided to go to Tucson spontaneously yesterday to see the circus. I booked a room here from a hotels search website it was only $40. Unfortunately I impulsed booked it then read reviews. I walked in the lobby which looked nice and...

I admit, the Hospitality industry is demanding, and mistakes happen. But it's how you fix them that leaves the biggest impression. Indifference and a poor understanding of the guest's place in the business picture Shape my dissatisfaction. The first room did smell of sewage (as another review pointed out) and I requested a change. The second room did not have...
