This lodge has the true feel of Tucson...in my humble opinion. It very conveniently sits mid town in a nonpretentious neighborhood that felt very safe to me. The cactus garden, amazing comfortable bed, desert plant life, patio restaurant & excellent comp breakfast will have me returning to this jewel of a lodge. Some reviews have been critical, indicating that it...

Outstanding! We stayed Wednesday through Easter Sunday, 4/12/17 to 4/16/17. Never had heard of this place so we were very skeptical. From the moment we walked through the front door it was excellent. The people at the front desk were very helpful, efficient, prepared and accommodating. The wait staff and bartenders were very friendly and efficient. We were never kept...

We really enjoyed our stay at Lodge on the Desert. The staff is friendly, and our second floor room was large and very clean. The grounds are nicely landscaped and the outside of the casitas were being painted while we were there. The breakfast was a nice selection of hot food and fresh fruit - a definite step above the...

I stumbled across Lodge on the Desert (LOTD) several years ago. It has become the one place I stay when visiting Tucson. While it not in an "expected" part of time, I like the location and the property is absolutely fantastic. We always enjoy the stay, rooms are very nice, large bathroom (but often no bath if that is an...

We paid $40 more booking from the hotel directly instead of going on "hotels com" website. A nice professional reservation clerk Richard assured me the hotel's prices are ALWAYS the lowest when I made the reservation, but when we got to the hotel I noticed we were paying $40 more than advertised on different sites for the same double queen...

We love Lodge on the Desert. Rooms are very spacious, tasteful Southwest decor (without being kitschy), superb art originals by justifiably acclaimed Arizona artist Ed Mell surprise at each turn. Bathrooms are lovely, spacious and modern, beds VERY comfortable, service mindful without being intrusive, all impeccably clean. We always look forward to a stay at Lodge on the Desert and...

We had one of the best dinners we've ever had at the lodge, amazing + wonderful service. Sadly when the bill came we got a shock that the vodka/tonic we order had been charged as one charge for the vodka and a 2nd charge for the tonic making for a costly drink, now we know why everyone was drinking beer...

We recently spent a week staying in this quaint little place. It was our 1st visit to Tucson. Pros- large comfortable room with fireplace (Casita). Very handy to Broadway stores & shopping district. Friendly staff & good service. Very nice breakfast, often saw the owner working around the Lodge, taking time to answer questions & visit. The landscaping & outdoor...

Last year I rated this property as a 5 star, now I am sad to report it is more like 3.5 star. We stayed for a week expecting the same sparkle and class we found last year. Instead we found changes in the way the property is operated. A "Free breakfast" prompted crowds and sub par food all day. (Breakfast...

Hello and thank you for being a loyal guest. We want to start you off with a great breakfast before your Tucson adventures, and I'll provide your comments to the chef. I believe the switch from glasses to cups near the pool is a safety concern. I'll definitely pass along your comments about the security guard and service during your...
