Our first trip to San Antonio so we weren't sure of best locations. We usually stay at chain midline hotels (Hampton Inns, Fairfield) but I am glad that we branched out here. The immediate area is not particularly beautiful or touristy but felt safe even at night. The O'Brien is an easy block or so walk to the Riverwalk. It...

This little boutique hotel fit our budget, yet was only a couple of blocks from Riverwalk, the Alamo, and everything else we needed. Delissa, Adriian, and Mick are exceptional hosts and always had time to answer questions about the area and offer suggestions and directions. The entire hotel is clean, clean, clean and well maintained. The carpeting was thick and...

Chose the O'Brien based on Trip Advisor reviews and the fact that we are Choice Hotel members. I never stay anywhere that my Trip Advisor friends don't recommend. That being said this turned out to be a great pick for me and my wife. The hotel is only a couple of blocks away from the heart of the Riverwalk and...

Beautiful Hotel and excellent service! I enjoyed my stay very much. Walking distance from the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Excellent service and full breakfast. Rooms with a balcony with seating. A great place to stay with family or as a couple for a romanic get away. Easy parking also.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. The staff is fantastic, the rooms, although a bit small, were comfortable and charming - just as you would expect from an historic hotel. Loved the area. Close to the Riverwalk. Breakfast was filling and plentiful.

Spent 3 nights at the O'Brien Hotel. Went with TripAdvisor recommendation and was not at all disappointed. Very nice king bed room on 3rd floor with balcony. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Recommended the laser light show at San Fernando Cathedral which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks!!!! Breakfast was better than expected, not just continental, but hot eggs,...

The hotel is located a very short walk (<2 min) from the Riverwalk, which is at the heart of Downtown San Antonio. The room had a big and very comfortable bed and was generally well-furnished, with a fridge and a microwave. The staff are fantastic, really friendly and very helpful in terms of providing information about San Antonio and suggesting...

The O'Brien was all it was cracked up to be! Nice breakfast, comfortable clean room. Very nice people. Especially loved the balcony across the back where we could sit and enjoy the outside! I will stay there again when in San Antonio!

Nice place to stay. A little disorganized when it comes to parking spaces. Room were very nice, clean and service was great. Internet was very slow. Breakfast was really good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

The lady called Delissa at the front desk was very rude and sadly very unhelpful. The rest of the staff are very friendly. It's a shame that just because for a grumpy and despot lady we do not recommend this place at all. She can give you a headache easily.
