The Menger is a beautiful hotel. Our room was very nice. The only complaint we have is that the hot tub was not hot enough, was not 104 degrees like it should have been. Other then that we would definitely return to The Menger again.

Hotel is rich in history and tradition. Just think? It has the bar where Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders congregated . The lobby of the hotel is breath-taking in elegance and charm. The rooms are satisfactory in appearance and condition- remember they are 160+ years old. The hotel staff, from front desk to room service, is top notch and...

This is an great hotel. They unload and deliver your luggage to you room and will come and pick it back up for you. Great view of the Alamo. Beautiful historically preserved decor. Close to The River Walk, shops, and other attractions/ tours. The valets are courteous and prompt. The hotel is also considered to be haunted. We actually had...

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. It's literally across the street from the Alamo. A very well maintained and serviced historic hotel, with a fine restaurant. It even had a ghost tour, which we did not take. We slept well, with no visits from ghosts, in our quiet room on our excellent beds with perfect pillows. We couldn't ask for...

The elegance of the building is surpassed only by the attentiveness of the staff (valet, front desk, restaurant, bar). The rooms (suites, in our case) are well furnished, very comfortable, and quiet; we never hear TVs or conversation from adjacent rooms (which can be quite important if you want a good night's sleep).

Beautiful hotel, but the food and service need an upgrade. Great location for a great price! Easy walk to the river walk and the Alamo, and restaurants! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the restorations are phenomenal!

This beautiful historical hotel is smack-dab in the center of San Antonio, close to the airport, 300 feet from the Alamo and one block from the entrance to the Riverwalk. There's a taxi stand for your convenience, a shopping center 20 yards away, and all the downtown amenities, including horse-drawn carriages, right out the front door. The rooms are clean...

The hotel is across the street from the Alamo and a lot of attractions and 2 blocks from The Riverwalk. The room was a fair size for my daughter and I and was always kept clean. The bathroom was pretty big too. The staff was very friendly and always available to answer any question I had. They sell the tour...

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were large and accommodating. We regret it was not convenient to use our dinner coupons; the breakfast, though, was superb, with the breakfast bar including everything you could possibly want. The only negative was a moldy smell upon entering our room which did not dissipate.
