From parking my car to checking out the trip was great. Every person we encountered was super professional, courteous and helpful. The bar staff is amazing and the Honey Apple Sunshine is so worth a trip or two to the bar. My Husband had a pizza from room service and said it was one of the best he ever had....

We discovered The Menger Hotel on our honeymoon 16 years ago. We were staying at the nearby Hilton but walked into the lobby of The Menger to explore and fell in love with this historic hotel. They had a room available so we moved ourselves over and now make it our home every time we come to San Antonio. This...

This is such an historic hotel. My father stayed here a number of times in WWII. I have also stayed a number of times. It is beautiful and still holds its glamor. Remember that it is original and historic, which limits how air conditioning ducts can be run. The hallways can be somewhat warm on hot days and the rooms...

This hotel is beautiful and full of history. We stayed in the oldest part. I was fascinated by everything. The art, photography, and furniture take you back in time. I loved everything about it. We will most defiantly stay again and acquire some ghost stories of our own.

The Menger is a historic hotel. It is beautiful, reasonably priced and located in the heart of San Antonio. Right next to the Alamo, River Center Mall and Ricer walk. Easy access to the freeway. This my new hotel for all of my trips to San Antonio! Can't wait to bring my kids here!

The accommodations at the Menger Hotel were top notch! Our stay was wonderful and we would recommend getting a room at the Menger to anyone wanting to get a taste of history too! The proximity of the Menger to the River Walk was ideal!

This hotel has the potential to be the center of the city...yet when I arrived to the hotel and stepped into the bar to wet the whistle I saw dark wood and a very cool bar...with mirrors that hadn't been cleaned in at months...our room was small and cramped and the pictures from the website are misleading. Maid service proved...

I always enjoy staying at the Menger - the location, the history and it is gorgeous. This trip I was in San Antonio for three days with my daughter, son-in-law and three grandsons. The first morning, there was a problem with the water heater and I had to shower in cold water. While shaving, I questioned the cleaning crew as...

Pros: The menger was a beautiful hotel, there was alot of history to see and great stores lined the foyer. The location was awesome and even for a basic room we had a perfect view of the Alamo and the fountain in the Alamo courtyard. Very clean and tidy, it was cozy and comfortable. The hotel staff was great from...
