GreenLeaders Gold level
Ready, set, slow™ Our boutique hotel is the closest to the ferry and harbor, yet so far away from ordinary. The right pace at the right time; The Island Inn at 123 West is as green as it gets. Dress us up or dress us down. You'll dig our contemporary style that nods to maritime gone by. Penthouses are fun for families, groups and splurges. They're big and nicely appointed with kitchens and plenty of elbow room. Sweets are as close to 'normal' hotel rooms as we'll get. Euros are small no-view sleeping rooms for guests 16 and up. All offer access to a shared living space Make a splash in a floatplane, slip in on the ferry or chart your own course. Get here and go with the slow. We're a partner of Stash Hotel rewards. That means you'll earn and redeem points at swanky places like the Island Inn and over 150 locations across the country. Reap while you sleep. Go with a different kind of Friday Harbor Hotel.

The room was beautiful and so was they view! The beds were the most comfortable beds I had ever slept in at any hotel, and the pillows were great too! Spacious and so comfortable! The office staff was very helpful and accommodating! We had a late check in and they gave great step by step instructions to get parked and to get in the room. I highly recommend staying here if you go to Friday Harbor! I know I will stay here again!

Hotel's Favourite
The Inn is beautiful. A lot of thought obviously was put into the design. The facility overlooks the harbor and is just steps from the ferry port, so great views. Our room, Sweet 3, is large, with a king and double bed and a large bathroom with a fabulous tub/shower. When we checked in, there was a fruit bowl, OJ and coffee and granola and milk waiting. The Innkeepers kept in touch both before and during our check-in to make sure the "no contact" process went smoothly. One of the nicest places in which we ever have stayed (and we've stayed in a lot of places). The only reason I gave the Inn a Five Star rating is that Trip Advisor does not have a higher rating.

Room Tip: Parking is available in the building. Use it in high season; street parking is very limited.

The location is perfect for doing activities on San Juan Island or just hanging out in Friday Harbor. Right off the ferry and close to everything in town. The rooms are very clean and modern and all the check-in and check-out activities are hands free and seamless

This place was the perfect location and made our trip spectacular. Theo was so responsive and welcoming. The unit had everything we needed, it was quite and steps from everything we wanted to do! The bedroom sheets and pillow were so great. It felt like we were at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It turned out we didn’t need the parking because we were out and about a lot. The best place to stay.

Theo was super helpful when making the reservation. Penthouse 4 was a dream “home” for our family during our stay. It’s spacious, stocked with amenities, and is equipped with A/C (super helpful during the heat wave). The roof deck also has really nice views of the harbor.

We stayed at the Island Inn for a special family reunion. The location was ideal, right on the waterfront. The rooms all had views of the harbor (from the room for the suite and from the common room for the Euros. Rooms came with fresh fruit and comfy bathrobes. Most things in Friday Harbor were within a close walk from Whale Watching outings, the Whale museum, groceries, restaurants. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable. It was not cheap but was worth it.

What a wonderful Inn. Feels European but only bigger rooms. Little touches like good coffee, fruit, breakfast oats and other amenities make it feel personalized. The views and location also cannot be beaten. At the end of each day here we sat on chairs in the common areas and watched the boats come in and out. Also saw a handful of bald eagles fly right by. Definitely want to come back!

Everything was clean and nice. Reception was very friendly and informative. Beds were comfortable, the heat worked great with no noise. Extremely close to the ferry, restaurants, shops and the marina. They offered a mini breakfast as part of the room, which was a bag of rolled oats cereal, nice bowl of fruit (grapes, blueberries, strawberries), milk, juice and coffee or tea, which was good for my wife and I. The bathroom is unique in that the wall between it and the bedroom is frosted glass. Real nice, but there are small gaps allowing you to hear things, so it 's best to be familiar with each other. Plenty of sunlight through the frosted glass windows to the outside, allowing privacy and light. It's advertised as no view, but you can see the ferry when it comes in from the room through a part of the window that is not frosted over, so there is a bit of a view. They had space in the garage for our bikes, which we rode across for a nice ride the next day, otherwise vehicle parking would have been extra. Overall, a very nice stay and highly recommended.
