I was going camping, but it was a rainy night so I decided to stay here. The room was kind of like a bunk house room but not terribly nice or clean. But heck, it was cheap. There is one somewhat unappealing part of the architecture. There are arches filled wrought iron in the hallway in front of the rooms...

Loved the staff! They have great food which is free to use all day. It used to be a motel but they made it feel like a hostel. The hostel is in walking distance of pretty much everything (Santa Fe isn't that big anyway). You do have to do a chore in the morning. Personally I didn't mind that at...

I stayed in the hostel with my three kids (ages 6,5, and 4) and it worked out perfectly. We had a private room and had to walk down an outside corridor to get to the bathroom but the kids were fine with it. The staff were amazing and so kind to my kids. I will definitely be staying here the...

Great location on the main road in Santa Fè near most everything staff seem nice and friendly . The hostel is just old and run Down rooms are small and are not very clean the hostel was not very full - the best part was a very large kitchen that had everything you could ask for :: we only stayed...

This hostel is unlike most in that it operates as a non-profit organization to encourage travel for the sake of education and cultural exchange. If you are looking for clean and predictable surroundings, this might not be for you. But, if you are looking for a cheap and eco-friendly option in Santa Fe, and you like the idea of meeting...

I can't for the life of me put the depressing, dirty place I stayed together with some of the glowing reviews it has received here. The upkeep is dreadful; the staff counts on the guests to clean their spaces and apparently doesn't check to see if this is happening. My friend and I shared a private room with bunk beds...

it is not killed by modernization-some of the charm of the 60ies is alive. Always plenty of organic food in the kitchen. A bus ride from the center away. Amazing people- they help in the community. Highlights of my many stays: at Thanksgiving a professional cook from California was visiting and prepared dinner for all the guests- who wanted did...

One of the best hostel where I've been. It is really cheap to rent a room and they get a lot of unsold food from the wholefood stores. You got a little chore to do everyday if you choose to get your cleaning deposit back. The staff there was really nice, and my friends enjoyed the hostel aswell.

We stayed here one night on our way west. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and upfront about expectations. The hostel operates on a chore system, where each guest must complete a chore in the morning. While this enables the hostel to operate without cleaning staff, one should have lower expectations for cleanliness when staying here, as your room...

I've stayed at a lot of hostels around the world and can say for sure this is a really cool one. The location is convenient and less than two miles from Cowgirl BBQ, a great music venue, and quite close to Counter Culture, a great restaurant and café with amazing breakfast burritos. The owner is super nice and committed to...

“We chose the private double room with a shared bathroom. The room was not as clean as you would expect in a normal hotel, but the bedding was clean- and that is the important part to me!”

“Go somewhere else, especially if you are sharing expenses with someone. You will get a motel room at roughly the same price as two of you paying for this hostel.”
