During my first stay in Santa Fe I stayed here at the Bishop's Lodge. The room was amazing with a great view of the skyline. We had one meal here, breakfast. It was decent, and service was very good. I had a spa treatment as well, and it was very good. I recommend treating yourself to some time for a...

I spent five nights here recently with my family. The setting is gorgeous and only a few minutes drive to downtown Santa Fe. Leisure facilities are good - a well maintained pool, a small spa and fitness center, and things like croquet and badminton for the kids. There's also lots of activities that can be accessed for an extra fee...

Bishop's Lodge is located on a mountainside just outside of Santa Fe. The locale is beautiful but parking is tight by the room that we were assigned. We had afternoon showers that cooled things down for us and we did not mind watching the storms flow in over the mountain. July is monsoon season so with that said, we felt...

Thank you for sharing your experience and recommendation to others regarding your recent stay at Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort and Spa. We are pleased that your family enjoyed the spacious historic accommodations. The design of Bishop's Lodge is one to maximize the natural beauty and thus parking is a bit tighter but with less impact on the environment. We will...

I hesitate to completely trash anyplace in a review, but this is the place that deserves a complete trashing. I have traveled over a large part of the globe in my life, and never have I felt that I received less value for my money than at the Bishop's Lodge. Understand that this is not a moderately priced hotel, and...

Our room was nice in that it had two large bedrooms and a living area and two baths. The furnishings and bedding are pretty old and worn out.  Clearly, the management is not concerned with keeping the place up to date and seems to take a band-aid approach to holding things together.  Despite the hotel manager's statement to the contrary...

Our stay at the Bishop's Lodge was really enjoyable. We had never visited Santa Fe before and found that there was a lot to do both on the lodge's property as well as around Santa Fe. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In August of 1851, a Frenchman, Jean Baptiste Lamy, arrived in the NM Territory as the first Bishop of Santa Fe. Here he built a private retreat; his chapel still stands today, now on the national register of historic places. After Lamy's Death, the land was acquired by the Pulitzer publishing family as a private vacation retreat. In 1917, the Thorpe family from Denver fell in love with these pristine acres, bought the property and developed the first resort in the state. Today Bishop's Lodge comprises 15 lodges for a total of 110 rooms ranging in sizes from 250 sq feet to 450, not to mention a 2000 sq foot Presidential Suite. Many of our rooms feature fireplaces and the majority all have outdoor access to patios, lawns or balconies. Our ShaNah Spa and Wellness Center which opened up in June of 2002 is a sanctuary where one can take time out to be nurtured by Mother Nature, guided by ancient wisdon and touched by angels. The experience may change your life. Other activities are abundant such as: trap/skeet shooting (offered to groups of 10 or monmre roomnights), horseback, pony trail rides, hiking, mountain biking, fitness center, excercise studio, outdoor pool, whirlpool and tennis to mention a few. Bishop's Lodge is located just 3 miles from the Historic Santa Fe Plaza. Complimentary shuttle service is provided by the lodge at scheduled times daily. ... more   less
