I've been staying at Garrett's Desert Inn in Santa Fe for more than 20 years of traveling through New Mexico, but... I will have to think long and hard before staying there again. It seems as if there is no upkeep at all. The sink leaks, the tub doesn't drain well, the refrigerator whines, the carpets are old and stained,...

Yes, it is showing its age. A classic Rte 66 place that hasn't seen much modernization since then. Yes, the carpets are worn. Yes, the TV's are small tube types. Yes, the wall paper may be peeling a bit. BUT the place is very clean and the location can't be beat. To be a block off of the Plaza for...

Stopped for 2 days in Santa Fe for New Years. This is an older property, but seems to be keeping up. We arrived very early in the day and wanted to check in just to have a place to park while we began to explore the old city. They were able to give us a room right away. We checked...

You are paying for the location definitely not the room. Sheets are thread bare. Mattress cover is old with the elastic to keep it on the mattress too old and stretched out to function and comes off every time you sit on the bed. Very uncomfortable bed. In addition to your room charge there is an $8 daily parking fee....

Old motel. Clean but dated. Painfully slow Internet connection. Low price for the neighborhood. The primary problem with old rooms is the aluminum-frame, single-pane windows and dripping faucets - which affect the owner's bottom line but not my satisfaction. The room was adequate, reasonably quiet, and well located. Bathroom tile is not in style, but still clean and well At...

We went to Santa Fe during the thanksgiving weekend and stayed at Garret's. The hotel is great for its proximity to everything in Santa Fe! It's in the heart of everything and we walked everywhere. The hotel itself was not bad at all. It was clean with no complaints.

I have stayed in Garrett´s Desert Inn for 4 nights in Sep 2015. I found the staff to be very helpful and hard-working! Just few steps away from the San Francis Cathedral I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a comfortable stay in Santa Fe :-)

This hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of centre of Santa Fe. It's excellent value for money given the prices in Santa Fe. We had a king room - good size, comfortable bed, very clean. An extra plus for this hotel is that it's one of the few I've been in where they give you two...

Excellent location, easy to find, walk everywhere. Front desk gal pleasant & helpful. Older budget hotel with large rooms, good bathroom, nice bed. Everything you need for a pleasant stay just older, except tiny, tiny, tiny TV. # 1 green chili burger place in Santa Fe on premises. Recommend for budget minded, no frills with great location.
