The room was the dirtiest I ever recall staying in. The carpet was so dirty I hated to walk on it with bare feet. The bedspread had holes in it (presumably from smoking, though the room was non-smoking now). The furniture had worn holes in...More
The motel is located at the edge of a shopping center. The room, including a small kitchenette is small. The walls and ceiling are thin. Consequently, you could hear your neighbors both left and right and above you.
As others have pointed out, these are really mini-suites, or studios. I wasn't surprised, however, because that's pretty standard terminology for this type of facility. With two double beds, it was fine for a family with two small children. The service was great, and the...More

I have stayed at the Santa Fe Suites several times, and the major reason is the great price, only around $55/night, an excellent value for Santa Fe!.
The rooms (they are studios, not suites) are quite nice, with space for one or two travelers, would...More

We just got back from staying there for a week March 8-15. Our stay was pleasant, the room was great, and it was very quiet. We were in the 600 building on the ground floor. The breakfast is what it is. There's some dry cereal, milk, juice, coffee, danish, and toaster waffles. I'm not sure what people expect for the low price...we bought Greek yoghurt and fruit from the supermarket next door, kept it in our fridge, and just used the lobby breakfast for coffee. The negative reviews we read seemed to be mostly people complaining about the breakfast and lack of elevator.
We were gone all day sightseeing, but the room was always made up with fresh linens, towels, etc. when we returned between 4pm and 9pm at night. When we asked for extra towels and washcloths, we got them right away. Our plane came in late the first night, so I called to tell them we'd be late. There was no problem checking in.
It's a very charming Santa Fe-style set of small apartment-like buildings with the office at one end. It's actually set in the parking lot of the Entrada Plaza complex near some medical buildings, a grocery store, and some take-out places, so there was very little traffic noise at night. It was well-lighted, so I felt safe walking in the plaza area. We loved it, but it wasn't your "normal," plastic, "they all look alike" type chain motel deal. If that's what you want, you will pay much more in Santa Fe, and have much more noise around you.
