Our room was small, dingy, and had an overwhelming smell of mildew. The bathroom window - with no screen - was open when we arrived. The door dividing our room from our neighbors had no working lock. A weak chain - literally dangling from a single loose screw was supposed to keep the two rooms separate. The TV - a...

You can't get much closer, or find a better rate. It is not the Ritz Carlton, but it's clean and close to everything. If you want to be close and stay on budget, you won't be disappointed. Views and grounds were nice. Great for the overnight stay, again it is not the high end modern hotel, it is a revamped...

The office staff was extremely helpful and friendly but the rooms left much to be desired. This motel does not use fitted sheets so there are only 2 loose flat sheets and a worn comforter covering the mattress. Room 120 West is a connected room which I don't believe was explained on the website- there is a locked door separating...

This motel was VERY Clean and it had breath taking views. It was also a plus that the Office staff people were wonderful and inviting. and of course it was close to the caverns. I will definitely be staying here next time I visit!!!

Stayed here recently and must say that it is pretty outdated. However, it was quite cheap due to the fact that our stay occurred during the winter. Definitely more of an apartment feel to it rather than just a motel room. Location is perfect though as Luray Caverns is a very short distance away. All in all, not too bad.

Though the name says motel, its actually an apartment which is not advertised. Having said that, it was ok, nothing great. No utinsils were provided in the apartment and for 4 beds, there is only 1 bathroom which is a let down. Nonetheless, has a good view and was clean for the period that I stayed.

Me and my wife planned to stay for 4 nights but after arriving within the first 5 min we knew we were in trouble. The room had a horrible musty smell, the floors were noisy, the bathroom was small and dirty, we had very low water pressure. The sheets were rough and bed was hard, the tv was an old...

The good: 1. The room was CHEAP.. costed me $ 49 for one night (sunday night in January) and had two queen beds.. 2. Location: Located less than a mile from Luray Cavern caves.. The bad and the Ugly: 1. There are no sign boards anywhere to help you find the place.. we arrived at 8 pm at night, and...

The location was great for biking in the GW National Forest to Camp Roosevelt and back, and the rooms were reminiscent of yesteryear. While some might fault the amenities as not being up to that of chain hotels in urban areas, the property had a nice pool, kitchen, sunroom/dining area, a quiet room and nice views of the mountains. Since...

“The suite in the middle used to be the office and manager's residence. It did not cost that much more than a regular room, and two levels (replete with a full kitchen) and lots of space for a family. The entrance is in the back of the motel, adding to the privacy and quiet. We prepared our own meals and saved, even though we had to buy cooking utensils.”
