My wife and I stayed here for our first valentine's weekend together. We were very happy with the room. The fireplace suite is like a one bedroom apartment. Nice fireplace, separate bedroom, separate bathroom, and the jacuzzi tub has its own room as well. Plenty of space for the weekend. The one staff member we saw all weekend was extremely...

This is ok if you need to stay in the area for one night. We were attending a wedding nearby and it was very cheap with free parking onsite. Bedrooms are very basic and the bathroom looked in need of a makeover. I wouldn't stay here again but I also don't have a reason to go back to the area.

We were really desperate for a place to stay and got to town late it was the only place that had a reasonable review socwe took a chance. Its ok for the one night but I wouldn't stay longer than that. It's close to the Luray caves which is where we were headed It was clean enough it only cost...

Stayed in queen suite with spa bath - when I first walked in had very musty smell - but after sitting outside on the lovely porch with door open to air out room, the smell did go away, but ... The toilet seat needed replacement (old foam style was cracked) and bathroom was in desperate need of cleaning (don't look...

I stayed at The Cardinal Inn in the last week of September 2015. My wife, adult children, my brother, and I wanted to tour in nearby Shenandoah National Park. We rented two rooms and stayed for four nights. The place was clean, though my wife complained of an odor in one of the rooms. (I didn't notice.) The staff was...

Good place to stay if you are visiting Luray caverns. Clean enough, free wifi and comfortable beds. It is close to restaurants. Friendly staff, happy to answer questions and give recommendations about the area. Know the rating and be realistic about your expectations

Stayed at this hotel because it was close to the caverns. Read the reviews and decided to stay because many said it was clean. Check in was nice...the innkeeper was pleasant and offered magazines for the taking. The room....it was clean but as many said has an odor. I always have my diffuser with me....so once I turned on the...

Clean but old timey property. I never stay in exterior access motels but this is really all they have in this rural area. We stayed here to go tubing on the Shenandoah River. It was definitely older with shabby comforter and plumbing fixtures from the 50s or 60s but the shower stall was new and the hotel was clean. My...

When we went to check in our (hotels.com) reservation could not be found, no problem, a room was given. When (I'm assuming the owner was the man at the desk) realized we had ordered the king and not double bed room, he came to the door and got us right away and moved us to the king apologizing profusely. The...

If Disney recreated a motel like this, you'd pay big bucks for it. However, for little bucks, you get the real deal. I had an end room and it was huge. It had mismatched styles of furniture, but lots of space, a separate eating area, a blue tiled bathroom, and great service at the front desk. Ask for anything and...
