We stopped few days in this beautiful town on our way to Nashville, what a nice and friendly bunch of people around here, traffic was terrible we must have arrived at rush hour, with weather and accidents, traffic was somewhat challenging to say the lease. The plan was to stop for a short time before we get to the Grand Old Opry, we ended up spending few days, so many things to see, caves, waterfalls, historic sites etc...
I really don't even know where to start. There are so many problems and issues at this property. First, the parking is awful. If you don't get there between 4-5, good luck! The front desk clerks aren't necessarily rude, but not the friendliest either. The elevators are AWFUL looking. They are beat up, and have marks all over them. And, I couldn't tell you the last time they've been cleaned.
Secondly, the breakfast was ok (typical hotel breakfast). If you're looking for a good, hearty breakfast, you will have to go somewhere else.
Moving along, my toilet didn't flush. Everyday housekeeping came in my room to "clean"- make up the bed, and someone plunged the toilet for me while I was at work. I spoke with one of the managers at the property and she said she was aware of the problem the entire time. She also made a comment that it looked like a whole roll had been in the toilet- WRONG! I could wipe my make up off and throw it in the toilet, and it still wouldn't flush. The water of course would rise everytime When I did go and try to flush, it would just start rising to the top again. I called down to the front desk and asked if maintenance was there or did they have anyone on call. She told me I could come downstairs and get a plunger, and if it still didn't work, they could move me to a different room. I was furious! I'm not paying over $100/night to plunge their toilet. And, when the manager said she went in and got the issue fixed, why wasn't I ever notified? If they were aware there was a problem, they should have come to me and we figure out a solution. Also, she made mention that everything seems to be working now. I hadn't even been gone a day.......It was a miserable stay. The room is VERY dated! I had to go down to the lobby bathrooms because mine was so terrible! One morning, I had to go to the lobby bathroom before I could even come back to start getting ready for work! That's insane!!!
Also, housekeeping doesn't vacuum the floors, and they don't always change the sheets opon request.
Oh, and my co-worker left Tuesday night. After the 2nd night, she said she couldn't handle it anymore. I should have done the same!
Do yourself a favor and go stay somewhere else! There are alot of hotels in the area. I would strongly advise you to go elsewhere!
At the end of the call, she asked if she coukd put appreciation points on my account. She put 2k, which is a very low amount. I didn't say anything, but h
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Murfreesboro for a high school cheerleader competition at MTSU. The location is perfect with all the food and amenities near by. The hotel seem new as well as the neighborhood. Staff is great. Breakfast is good too. Some things in the room needed repair like shower curtain rod covers and the bathroom door would not stay shut. I thought the room was a little on the high side but I suppose the location makes up for it.
Stayed her for a business event. I’ve never stayed at a Holiday Inn and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel lobby was nicely decorated with s very large flat screen tv. The employees are very nice. Everyone they I came in contact with went above and beyond to say hi and see if there was anything I needed. The room was a standard room. The bathroom looked brand new, very clean and the towels were soft and sorta fluffy. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were the perfect soft to sink in s fall asleep with ease. I also liked that they had a Keurig coffee machine in the room with really good coffee. Started my morning off just right for my business trainings.
Hotel was good and staff were friendly. But problems were wifi not working and tried reaching for help with front desk .but it was not working for whole day. Bathroom doors were very old and unable to open from inside.that was a pain
