What a warm and cozy home. My husband and I stayed over on our way to St Louis and it was the perfect stopover. We walked to town several times and had a nice dinner at one of the local restaurants. Our bedroom was upstairs and perfectly quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was...

The Hastings House is a great B&B, lovely house. We spent four nights here in October. There are only 2 guest rooms, we were in the upstairs room. The home is Clean, cozy, comfortable, and a delicious breakfast served every morning. Coffee/tea available in the dining room at all times. Our room was large and bright, the bathroom is a...

This couple was SO much fun! I would love to have them visit again. I ended up slightly altering their plans when I suggested a trip to the Corvette museum about 1 hr. away in Bowling Green, Ky. Since they own a Corvette, they followed my suggestion & really enjoyed it. I had been there with a friend the week...

I loved this place and loved the food. We stayed in the Eastlake room and got the roll away bed in the corner and it was very comfy. The cats were exceptional and got attention everybody me and my parent were downstairs. I love the front porch and loved the company of Jane.

Any guest who thinks my cats are exceptional is obviously a wonderful guest! I truly love what I do and enjoy sharing both Murfreesboro & Nashville with visitors. I lived in Nashville for 25 years & so know some different places to encourage folks to experience. Murfreesboro is the ultimate small southern town that has grown up to offer lots...

My husband and I had been on vacation for a week visiting my family, and decided to add on a couple of extra days for "us time." We wanted to visit Nashville, but didn't want to stay in the city. I found Hastings House in an online B&B search, and knew as soon as I read the details that this...

We rented both the rooms in this wonderful 1909 home and took my brother and his wife there while doing genealogical touristing in the Murfreesboro, Shelbyville & Nashville areas. Spent two nites there and really enjoyed it. Halloween decorations were up and seemingly were wherever you looked. Loved them. Will echo the kudos for the breakfast each morning. Savory one...

Having worked at the Tennessee State Library and Archives for 17 years, I have a special place in my heart for genealogists. I never caught "the bug" but understand and appreciate the passion behind the search.

Jane was the most accommodating host you will find! Her home is so beautiful and in a great location to the downtown square. We stayed in the east lake room and it was very comfortable. She welcomed us in and made us feel at home immediately! Her breakfast was fantastic & we cannot wait to go back and visit again!

My husband and I spent two enjoyable nights at Hastings House. We were on a business trip and wanted the locals' advice for traffic conditions, etc. to make a morning meeting out of town, and of course to enjoy conversation with the hostess, if she's not too busy. It turned out that Jane offered excellent advice on best travel roads...

It's not hard to enjoy owning a B&B when you have guests as much fun as Sandy & Dwayne! Exploring their website & YouTube videos was very interesting & I look forward to reading their book when it's released in Jan. 2015.

Jane did a great job of making us feel welcome in her beautiful home filled with Victorian and Eastlake antiques. She prepared hearty and delicious breakfasts and offered helpful sightseeing advice for our trips into Nashville. We stayed in the upstairs room, and it was very roomy with an uber comfy bed! Keep in mind that there are cats in...

Although I LOVE Murfreesboro and want my guests to appreciate the uniqueness of my adopted city, I lived in Nashville for 23 years & still maintain memberships in cultural organizations & am willing to direct guests to some unusual sites and exhibits in Nashville.

My wife and I stayed at the Hastings House for almost a week, along with a friend. We enjoyed the accommodations and Jane helped us feel at home. We were often out late and ate a late breakfast but she didn't seem to mind. We enjoyed walking downtown and this was a central location for why we came to Murfreesboro....

Janice was a great host. We had a beautiful room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and the Cinnamon Parfait Yogurt with homemade Granola was to die for. The weather wasn't what we expected for Oct. at 27 degrees but the house was warm and cozy. Plus it is only about 6 blocks from MTSU so it was easy...

“Although the upstairs bedroom did not have an in-suite bathroom (bathroom was across the hall), we still had a feeling of privacy. It was a beautiful room, so don't hesitate to pick this for your stay.”

“Recommend the first floor room for mobility impaired guests. The house is not modified for wheel chair use, but there are only a few steps up from the street level to the first floor and all services are on the first floor with no additional stair climbing required.”
